Most efficient expansion to quest in?

I think it’s between MoP or WoD?

Warlords for sure. Especially since pathfinder restrictions lifted

WoD has been a real good one for Chromie time another I would say Legion

Legion if the stars line up is…

order hall quests
story (main and side) quests
bonus objectives
legion incursions
tables hits for XP tokens

all up at same time.

Legio incursion not single target elites are scaled to be done easy imo. ST elites…yeah, hope some friends show up.

WoD works well too. I like both really.

I mean WoD maybe be fast but the leveling experience will make it feel like a eternity. MOP is where it’s at. Great quests, lovely zone.

Silverpine Forest, Nazmir and Vol’dun

3 quick easy efficient zones that take you straight to that 48-50 range

Silverpine into WoD stuff is also fast but you need to know the WoD zones by heart beforehand

Not Wrath, to be sure. Whoo boy.

Legion is cool because as you level a new class, you get to do the class campaign there as you go.

Broken Isles do get a bit boring after 4 rounds though.

Anyone remember the exp potions that could drop from rares? Drink one of those and have your little ones do WoD bonus areas chef’s kiss

Depending on wether an allied race or not, OG races Ill do their zones til 10 to15 then head over to WoD til level 40. At 40 I head over to Legion.

On allied races I get them to about level 15 and then head to those same areas. With both tend to finish off at 50 in Legion then on to next alt or Shadowlands depending on mood.

At least that’s what works for me.

I usually just farm dungeons from 10 to 50. Cata for the Classic dungeons until around 20-30 and then I’ll swap over to Wrath from 20-30 to 50. The queues will give an item at the end that’s sometimes a slot that isn’t an heirloom and each dungeon has at least one quest in it.

It’s very rare that I actually quest out in the world. Dungeons are just so much better, imo.

I don’t know about efficiency, but the only expansions I can stomach leveling through these days are Warlords and Legion, unless I’m dungeon leveling as a healer or tank. Classic feels like the way to go for dungeon leveling - dungeon quests, easy content, fast content. Only Gnomeregan is really bad, and not as many bad players compared to BFA.

WoD until Gorgrond, switch to WotLK for fast queues and extra dungeon quests until you get sick of it then Legion until 48 / 50.

Hold out as long as you can for Legion if you plan on leveling through dungeons cause those people will make you question your subscription.

I feel this way Horde side in Warlords, but I like it Alliance side.

I tried MoP leveling recently. Jade Forest was good, and then I got to Valley of the Four Winds and hearthed back to Orgrimmar and swapped over to Legion. MoP is a big ol’ nope.

Jade Forest was such a cool zone that synthesized the core flavor of WoW with Eastern philosophy and aesthetics, and then you get to pure 100% “Panda MoP Jack Black Kung Fu Panda Carrot Breath Beer Elemental” nonsense afterwards and it’s like… I remember why MoP was horrible and why it tanked so badly that they had to time travel us back to WoD just to flush that out of our systems.

I’ve been meaning to try it alliance side. One day maybe. Chances are pretty good I’ll just play through MOP again lol. But yeah horde side is trash from the starting scenario to frost fire.

Jade forest is amazing. I can see why people find the valley cheese. I personally find it fun. Games with a little cheese to keep a light mood work for me. But I can go on about MOP for days. The only thing I didn’t care to much for was the dungeons. Accept the rehash of Scholmance. That place was lit.

Warlords, but be sure to have archeology, even level 1 as the archeology only treasures give XP.

My picks as well. I prefer Legion just because the weapon quests and class halls are so fun

Valley of the 4 winds is the worst zone in MoP. You aren’t required to do them in order though. Look up where the next zone quests start and fly on over.
