I don’t really care about overall best class in the game. I’m more wondering what the most needed/desired class for raiding on Alliance is at the moment. I saw tons of people wanting feral Druids I assume for wind fury buff, but don’t truly know if that’s the most needed. I’m not really wanting to roll a Priest either….
All raid groups have different needs so posts like this are pointless.
Melee meta is here to stay, because it’s how the game is designed on the client level up. There’s literally nothing Blizzard can do about white damage. Warriors/M-Hunter/Rogue will always perform the best because they will scale like crazy in the future patches. So if you want the most desired class, one of those 3 but Warrior is KING.

Probably whatever the top tank n healer are.
It’s 100% feral druid. (Or simply an OP class like munter or Rogue)
Feral is decent by itself if not quite top tier, but you also bring WF and LotP which are huge melee buffs for the OP melee that are miles above the rest at the top of the dps ranks.
Feral will always have a spot to buff the OP melee at the top of the pack, or alternatively you can play the OP classes but they are subject to be nerfed, and also more competitive slots vs all the other FotM chasers.
Pretty sure as usual it’s healers then ranged then melee
I’m thinking feral, I’m looking to play the game w 1 hand and not care about parses. Oh you want to parse? Here’s my Druid buff while I’m semi afk not giving 2 poops about your parse.
with the melee stacking that probably will progress into future raids, feral wildstrikes druid on alliance side is a delight to most any raid.
i would say even a brain dead auto attacking feral would be worth their weight in gold given what wildstrikes can do in dps for the whole of melee.
that would almost be the most desirable class right there for people struggling to get one.
i want to add something not alot of people actually consider.
if you took era naxx parses with like 10+ warriors and a few other melee or physical dmg dealers and figured what the raid dps was with and without curse of recklessness and just added that difference to warlocks overall dps , warlocks would be the top dps spot in the game bar none.
druid are the best healers atm but shammies and priest still fill a roll. Like one priest for POM/fort/spirit. Healing rain is honestly a great heal in ST as the tank/melee group doesn’t have much movement on most of the fights
I ended up picking feral druid, got him to 15 and having a lot of fun with him! Thank you all for the help!

As others have stated a lot of raids need different things but talking on a general basis.
For Alliance Feral is easily one of the most wanted non healer/tank.
Otherwise its just your flavor of the month classes.
If.you want to get into any group, go any healer class or go windfury/boomie.
Well… Priest Shaman Ret Paladin (weirdly now) or Feral Druid.
Priest though for the most specs of “someone will want you somewhere” Feral druid does have the benefit of “we don’t care what your gear is, look pretty and give us wild strikes”
You don’t have a feral druid at level 15 lol
You don’t even have cat form or can do anything feral related wut

Ah good choice, I think. Definitely the class/spec that every melee party wants to have.
Priest healing, good ferals, maybe pally tanks warrior tanks or warlock tanks
