Most Delicious Clams Alliance

When doing most Delicious Clams for alliance you pick up the quest from the Ankoan on the cliff and then drop down into the water bellow. Dropping into the water is phasing me so I can’t complete it. No idea why, but this is hilariously garbage.

Ya I could see the clam outlines before I went into the water as well, maybe it has to do with the nearby elite WQ right next to it.

I killed the elite. No change.

I just verified, I went out of the water and up the ramp and the clams appeared at the same time the WQ message went up. Killing the elite may still not alter the phasing. Also the elite monsters up top appear when the clams appear, along with other players.

I’m having this issue as well.

Same issue here. Phasing out when I reach the “abyssal pool”

Approach it from the south side works, can collect some clams that way, in fact I finished the quest by doing this.

As alliance we start on the south side and get to run in that way. They’re all disappearing for me.

Well from the north they phased out, but from the south they did not phase out. Try approaching from the south tip.

I’m alliance and I tried it from the south, as Cyber said. It worked for me I was able to loot all the clams i needed in 1 go.

I’m guessing that this anomaly only occurs when this WQ appears, overlapping phasing areas perhaps, why it just showed up today.

I tried entering at the south edge, as Cyber stated, without success. I get phased as soon as I enter the zone.

I have tried every angle possible and I am not seeing the clams as soon as I hit the water. This is so disappointing. I’ve run into so many issues since launch I’m at the point where I want to do pre 8.2 stuff on my alts so I can actually ACCOMPLISH something in my hours of playing…

**EDIT: Found this from PTR version of WowHead and it worked for me:

If the clams are phased away as soon as you enter the water, complete (and hand in) the quest What Will It Lure? first.

Be sure to turn in the finish and turn in the Chum quest before attempting to do Most Delicious Clams.

I turned the Chum quest as well and I finally can access the clams. Thanks for the info!

Quest is bugged on the Horde side also. Leave the area and come back - they show up until you walk up to one and then they phase out… state of the art technology

I was able to do this quest once I completed the daily curio quest… It may be because that area is surrounded by daily quests and there’s no real good place to phase. (after completing the curio quest I jumped down the fast moving waterfall and the clams stuck around hope that helps )

I think I figured it out…

I was having the same issue as everyone else here, could see the clams from far away but they would phase out when I got close.

If you have the quest “What will it lure?” (where you have to chum the waters in the same pool the clams spawn in and kill some eels) in your log, complete that quest first, go and turn it in, and then come back.

This fixed the issue for me and I was able to complete the quest afterwards

About entering from the south: you might have to go far south of the blue over-lay on the map before heading north, not just a little bit. Try going all the way to the home FP then move north to the quest zone. Technical reason for this might be because the phase area might extend much further south than does the blue over-lay.

I’m not positive, but I thought I did the chum quest before the clam quest, I could be wrong though.
