I been sitting here, on a tank, and not even 1 DPS applicant for a +5 Siege (Yes I know only a +5, but fact is this would of had 100 applicants in legion)
https://imgur.com/a/KuzRmoP
Also only 1 message in trade chat in roughly 15 minutes(this realm was packed at BFA launch) , and 0 applicants for a dungeon that already has a tank.
Never seen the game this dead, not even at end of expansions or WOD.

Seems about the same to me.
By the way, you wasted a Kul'Tiran name!

Nobody plays on their alt, that's more like it.
And yeah, my guild is dead. Game is a pure snoozefest anyway.

I can only speak for myself, but as somebody who made sure to do my key on my main every week in Legion, I've definitely skipped the last few weeks here in BFA.
I'm still here, but I'm busy leveling alts in old zones. Queues for lowbie dungeons are pretty fast so I think maybe a lot of us are doing the same thing.
For me the issue with M+ is the rewards. In Legion, there was that artifact appearance carrot-on-a-stick to keep me pushing keys on alts. Now, M+ rewards only seem to make my numbers get bigger. That's not enough of an incentive for me to push the content.
I stopped raiding in BFA for largely the same reasons.
Can't speak much for trade chat, I don't hang out in towns much.

It appears that mythic dungeons have been way less popular with the common folk than was projected. Everyone I know is doing fewer than they did during Legion. Most I know who used to do them once in a while for the weekly are now doing them never.
People who regularly did heroic dungeons during legion are now never doing them at all.
He who cannot learn from the past is doomed to repeat it.

Good. Maybe Blizzard will get the message.
I've never done a mythic dungeon, and based on what I've seen other people say about them, I never will.

I stopped running M+'s last week. I find it easier to get enchanting mats from heroics.

It's not dead people dont care to do a 5 key on a Tuesday alot of people raid or pug or see no benefits from doing a key they out gear ... Doesn't mean the games dead
Dungeons are also overturned compared to Legion that's also an issue they are to hard for the common player

People in general hate Siege. Esp on tyrannical weak. That lost boss, I have found, completely destroys some groups.
Well, based on this careful gathered and well documented scientific research, I suppose there's no other conclusion here. Wow is dying and it's because we don't have playable vulpera yet.
I can speak for this as well... Game really is dying. I know PvP isn't the most popular thing in the game, but about 2 weeks ago I queued for a PvP Island Expedition and it took 32 minutes just to finally get a queue to pop. That is just terrible...
It's also relatively harder to put together fun events. There's just not as many people applying for groups or responding to advertisements like there would be back in previous expansions.
If I wanted to run, let's say, a 40m raid of only Paladins for WPvP, it'd be relatively easy to get that many people because there was just more people. I know people want to say the game is fine, but it really isn't. This is a serious all time low for World of Warcraft which is sad. It's really pushing me away, and I've been playing since TBC :/

So most people's guilds are dead(everybody has quit), servers like mine that were packed at launch are now ghost towns(again everyone quit), legion being able to make a group in under a minute as a tank....Yep games def not dead.

Time of day probably has a lot to do with it, too. Late nights aren't great for keys; I've had far better luck in the early afternoon, I think. I don't think the game's dying just because it was a slow day for keystones.
Not to mention, most folks I know don't bother pugging keys out of fear of bad groups - it's mostly done in guilds and friend circles to the best of my knowledge.
TLDR lighten up, pal, it ain't as grim as it looks

We're a month away from 8.1
Most people have completed all the content of the patch and are either taking a break, or unsubbed. which is understandable due to the wrong direction that blizzard has been taking in recent times.
As for your key, the state of Mythic+ dungeons have become largely unbearable for the general playerbase, who are casual/semi-casual as opposed to how it was back in Legion. And as mentioned in this chat, the last boss in Siege is probably one of the hardest dungeon boss out there, too.

Its really hard to find tank and heals for 4-5-6-7 , game is pretty dead.

In my experience leveling a tank, people want a tank for the 4-7 range that is geared for 10s.
The ilvl gear I have on my tank alt was enough to do 4-7s in time the first month of BFA. Now its unacceptable.
Tuesday is the day most people get their 10s done on mains, very few are running lower keys.
Did a 9 freehold and 11 shrine and our ques exploded with applicants so...

Island expeditions are horrible.. and you're Horde. If you wanna pvp, queue up BGs, queues are short both sides
I dont do mythic. They scare me

I thought that 100% of accounts that were ever started are still active, because no one has ever stopped playing wow on their own. The only people who left were people who were happily playing, enjoying the game, who visited the forums once and then decided to leave forever because of an unintelligible comment some troll made.
But of course the people who come to the forums to say goodbye never leave.
And of course those 100 million busy accounts you're claiming, wow, clearly the game is really, really busy, eh?
Wait, you never leave. You're always here trolling us, because trolling the forums is way more fun to you than playing the game.
You have no data. You just have a narrative you're pushing to pretend that our feeling are not our feelings, out friends' feelings are not what they are feeling, our friends who no longer log in are actually logging in and playing like they did during Legion, and all hundred million accounts that have ever existed are spamming high keys every single week, because they owe it to Ion to make him a success.
Or you're just here to help out blizzard, because they're just a small indie company and they need seasoned propagandists like you to help them pull through.
Why don't those 100 million customers make them profitable? Why do they need to keep sending you to the forums to astroturf for them?
Hmm...
