What’s tough for me is that I’d be happy to queue Blitz only and totally boycott arena- except I mostly play WoW to hang out with my younger brother. We can’t queue Blitz together unless one of us is healing.
Over the years, we’ve had countless hours of fun playing 2s and used to really love it. It’s just so damn sweaty and deflated now.
Maybe it’s just me but I found s4 to be really fun? People missed out.
I’m biased though I really enjoyed DF & it’ll be a top 3 for me PvPwise.

Eh. The entire point is to incentivize healers. Not DPS.
Allowing DPS to duo queue too would make premades far more prevalent and impactful than they are. Suddenly the amount of potential premade duos on a team doubles, introducing greater variability and unfairness.
