I have been healer shopping so far I think resto shaman is so painfully devoid of depth and brutally simplistic I just cant bear to endure playing it anymore.
Need to give holy paladin and resto druid a proper try before I have anymore opinions.

I’d say holy priest. It’s not fun to me, I never could get into the priest class in general.
Holy Paladin I don’t like just because it doesn’t make any sense to me.
Restoration Shaman I agree with, I’d play it over priest but I don’t truly care for it.
I can only play restro druid or MW. Though, MW is pretty boring it’s a three button rotation soothing mist>envelope>renew>vivify
DIsc is pretty fun imo, MW monk too.
I also kinda got bored of R sham
Resto shaman.
It is a bare bones healer with little depth to it. Huge utility toolkit but the healing rotation is super basic. It’s a really good beginner healer though for that reason, I always recommend it to people looking to get into healing.
Resto shammy isn’t my favorite healer but I wouldn’t say it lacks depth. It has so many CD’s and the way Cloudburst Totem works it introduces a lot of depth to healing and how you choose to plan those CD’s…especially with one of your CD’s being able to reset 1-2 of your totems (everyone uses the CD reduction on totem reset but I prefer the other talent choice so I can reset both charges of cloudburst). Also, the 12 second ranged kick and multiple CC options that can also be reset introduces a fair amount of depth.
As far as dps options I do agree that it’s brutally simplistic and lacking in depth. The long cast times and low haste due to it being a low priority stat makes r.shammy not particularly fun for me…especially since I main r.druid where I have a boatload of haste and lots of instant cast abilities.
I will say Holy Paladin.
I’m trying to get into Holy Paladin so I can officially retire my healing Priest, but man, it’s rough around the edges. I think melee healing is a great concept, but it feels janky to play.
Paladin is definitely my favorite tank and DPS right now. I’ve got a lot more practice to do to master Holy, though.
Boredom is on you not the game. If you can’t be entertained in a game, well, that has to be your problem.
maybe its not the class that’s boring but the content you’re running. Try harder content and put yourself in situations where you have to make a lot of decisions quickly or the group will wipe…I’m sure you’ll have more fun regardless of the class it is you’re healing on
I’ll get flamed - but resto shaman is boring.
Holy paladin, too many cooldowns to wait on.
I think folks have a point, in that the healing of Resto Shaman might be a bit boring compared to other healing classes.
But I always loved R Shaman because it seems to have tons of utilities that others don’t.
It’s like a healing pocket knife.
Really love it in PvP.
raid yeah.
m+ is a bit different. imho.
The utility and extra things you can do dont matter in raid.
Whispering Waves is very boring, but very strong.
I enjoy all healers except dragon, which I do not play.
I love my Resto Shaman!
I’m new to the Shaman camp, but man I’m here now and it’s awesome.
Of all the healers I’ve played in S2 my Shaman was some of the most fun I’ve had.
I fall behind on my Priest in dungeons, I don’t on my Shammy.
My main is a Holy Priest, also super easy, Disc is also a ton of fun, MW Monk is fun , Holy Pally is fun too, I actually enjoy melee healing.
Resto Druid used to be my fav but less so these days, have been slacking on my Druid need to pick him up more for S3.
If I get super bored I may finish leveling my dragon, who is lvl 64 now and see how that is but not exactly excited at the prospect.
Most fun I’d say is prolly Disc, nothing as satisfying as blowing up the boss and watching health bars fill up.
Most boring…man…I genuinely enjoy healing on all my toons, if I had to put one in last place it would have to be dragon.
R Sham or one of the Priest specs. I was playing both and got bored of both, I’m probably gonna move my Shaman out of my warband lol. I was gonna play Enhance on it on the side, but I went with Arcane instead so it has no reason to be in the band anymore.
I’ve never been bored doing anything in this game.
Resto-Druid here – fun, active, you can be a tree on fire. Lots of buttons to push, roaring is always satisfying. I think I started on Malygos during WotLK and have been doing this ever sense.
Holy Paladin.
The entire thing is a troll take, and I suspect it is the same person who dropped the “healing is boring” thread earlier.
I loved Hpally in SL, I haven’t played it since but I thought it was a really fun take on a melee healer.
I liked holy priest, specifically oracle. I thought premonition was a really fun mechanic and had a lot of fun optimizing around it.
I ran resto druid and it was alright. The proactive play style was new to me compared to the above, which was fun. But the DPS rotation felt like a ton of work for very little reward.
I’ll probably try Hpally and priest again. I don’t think I’ll do druid until cat shifting falls out of meta.
I’ve tried MW, but the play style isn’t as enjoyable to me. I don’t feel as in control of healing as I’d like.
