Most annoying types of quests

What would you say are the most annoying types of quests to do in the game?

For me it’s any quest that requires you to use something on the enemy right before it dies, and any vehicle quest where you can’t control the crosshair manually and have to aim by moving the vehicle itself.

I’ve always hated those old escort quests where the npc walks mindbogglingly slow. It gets worse after they leave combat and run a mile backwards as you stand there struggling not to abandon the quest.

Agreed 200%. I hate those slow walking npc escorts.

I also hate when the NPC pathing requires you to be standing right next to them to continue, otherwise they stand there and wait for you.

Quests that involve you both killing and retrieving things I guess. Depending on the circumstances, you can end up having to kill a lot more mobs than necessary to leave the area.

The ones where you kill a mob, go back turn in and then have to go back to the same place you were earlier…

Anything that requires me to stand and wait on something that’s timed.

Escort quests, games like the turtle stuff, unskippable cutscenes, mini game style stuff. Those can all just go away.

Gimme that kill ____ mobs quest or gather ____ items quest. I’ll pull everything in sight, kill em and move on.

I find those less daunting because I usually pull everything in sight and just burn em down.

I notice most vulture quests have low drop rates for some reason. That one in Hellfire Peninsula in outland is probably the worst in the game.

Oh, so much this! That is my pet peeve in the game. I’m saying, “Really?? You couldn’t have told me that five minutes ago?”

Prince Farondis was one of the more annoying ones. You would get attacked by something and he’d keep walking then yell at you for falling behind. Like, come on man!!

Quests with dumb drop rates. I’m killing a creature for their liver, eyes, kidney, etc… Something EVERY one of them should have. It’s really annoying when the drop rate is like 40%. The thing has 10 eyes!! How am I only getting 1-2? Yea. Those quests bug me. lol

Escort quests. The escortee always finds a way to aggro everything and walks slower then hell.

Kill x amount… it’ s overused for quest leveling.

All Tortollan quests.

Fill the bar quests. I avoid them whenever I can. And ‘put out the fire’ quests. Those always take so much longer than I feel they should.

You know it. “Thanks guy for making me run back and forth and making me your personal butler for some copper and silver.”

This is exactly what I was going to write. Especially when you can’t fly.

That one in Highmountain where you have to walk through a field of elite ettin mobs is pretty bad too. Half the time he just stops and stands there and complains about standing in a field of ettins, while you’re trying to avoid getting attacked.

Any collection or escort quest.

Remember how it was without that Heirloom chauffer and how mandatory it was to enchant minor speed?

All the Nesingwary quests. Any quest that requires me to slaughter X amount of some non-aggressive animal just buggs me.

Escort quests. The NPCs I escort always seem to move too fast for my regular walking speed and too slow for my running speed.
