With the new mortal kombat game out i thought it would be fun to rp as some characters how would you roleplay (class and race) Raiden, Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sonya, Kano, etc. I mean the easiest answer is they are all human monks but i think we can do better than that. What you think?

Hmm, of course Liu Kang and Kung Lau should be monks, Kitana should be a rogue and Jade a monk, Shao Khan a warrior, Kotal Khan a Zandalari Paladin, Raiden something Shaman (?), Scorpion either undead rogue or human rogue depending on the version, Sub-Zero Frost Mage, Erron Black a MM hunter, Cetrion a Night Elf Druid, Kabal a Sub rogue, Bo-rai-cho definitely a brewmaster monk, Onaga Naga Warrior, Shujinko monk, Jhonny Cage monk, Sonya monk, Shinnok undead Warlock, Kano combat rogue, Skarlet Blood DK, Quan Chi Human Warlock, Kenshi Warrior… I am stopping here though because they are too many!

Those that got no race mentioned are humans.

You can be a BM Hunter with two bug pets and play as D’vorah. Pretty sure there are bug armored sets out there.

I’d almost go Dranei Shaman with Raiden simply because the prophet could be viewed as the elder gods or something

Shao Kahn is complicated, because he is a lot of things, including a Sorcerer.

In fact, he was Shang Tsung’s sorcery teacher.

He is so smart that he used to be the previous Emperor (Onaga)'s advisor.

He is the type of character that looks dumb and brutish, but he’s actually extremely smart and brutish :smiley:

I’d say Shao is 50% Warrior and 50% Warlock.

Definitely, not to mention that he is directly responsible for the creation of Ermac as well. However, his fighting style he prefers his hammer and a bit of sorcery for mobility rather than completely relying on it.

Yeah but he soulstoned Mileena after MK trilogy, Goro on MK Deception and Shang Tsung on MK Armageddon.

Besides, you can’t tell me this isn’t a thin variation of Chaos Bolt lol

I think the coolest one is Raiden . You could almost play shao kahn as an orc warlock and transmog the staff to look like a hammer
