For those of you that watched this interview, what are your thoughts?
When a WoW dev gets interviewed by a clown, my thoughts were that it was more cringe than funny. I dislike clowns.
When I was watching he was watching himself talking to Morgan and was saying âslanderâ at times so I had no idea what that meant. Then I just tuned out and figured Iâd catch the cliffnotes.
I donât get why Blizzard keeps interviewing with these clowns⌠Just put out your own stuff and quit involving these clowns from Twitch that just want $$$$$$ signs and milk their community.
Weâll just choose to ignore the troll responses to your question and focus on the interview.
I think the idea of a crest discount for alts when a main reaches a certain point is a positive idea, but will depend on the actual numbers when announced.
I was severely disappointed to hear his takes on the crest penalty for failing a key. They seem to think that it isnât an expectation to get the 12 in pugs, and that just isnât the case. I think it contributes to keys being abandoned the moment they become untimeable, because the crest farm is so severe that it feels like any less than the 12 is a waste of time.
The answer about m0 now getting veteran gear because of the daily lockout was a strange one for me. If you think of gear as this precious thing that needs to be kept locked down at all costs, their answer makes sense. I donât think of gear that way, so I donât agree with it, but their logic is at least understandable.
I hope they actually do take some thought to raid buffs in m+ to heart, even if that means nerfing them or disabling them in M+. Weâll see.
I believe this was a win for most players. It will depend on the actual discount and what it takes to get there.
For example, if they gate it behind, " you need all myth track gear" or âyou need all hero track gearâ, it wonât be fun. I believe that if one slot is of a higher item level, you should get discounted on every similar slot on alts. I believe that rings and trinket slots should count individually, not as a group.
I donât think of gear this way, either. So any type of gating or locked gear is a fail in my eyes.
Honestly, this could be fixed if they gave full power drums and ranged BR scrolls. And if they did not remove buffs, they could at least provide scrolls like they did in MoP. I think this would fix a lot of arguments.
I believe Morgan is out of touch with the community by his answer. The PUG community generally does not act the way he thinks. This whole, âskin in the gameâ argument is tone deaf. There are very few people who PUG and go into a key with this attitude. This may be want they want to exist, but the reality is very different.
