More Warcraft games would be cool

Imagine a RTS based off the time when the Pantheon created the Titan forged to fight against the Old Gods. There could be three factions, the Elementals, the Old Gods, the Titans, and maybe even the Ethereals with a campaign against Dimensius or something.

There could be hero units like Odyn, Tyr, Freya, Loken, Helya, etc. The basic Titan forged, their sorcerers and mages. This campaign would start in the north of the Kalimdor supercontinent, and you would work your way throughout imprisoning all the Old Gods.

The Elemental campaign could be in two parts, before the arrival of the Old Gods, fighting them, then after becoming servants and fighting the Titan forged.

The Old Gods could be the exact reverse of the Titan campaign, although I don’t know how it would work being on the losing side every time. Perhaps just give them campaigns with victories but they lose overall?

The Ethereal campaign would be against Dimensius, going over their transformation, the fight against Dimensius’ forces, then the planets destruction, and their flight into the Twisting Nether.

I’d definitely play it, I love the Titan lore, and the Ethereals are super cool.

You’ll basically be getting this campaign in midnight and the last titan, just not the prequel version

It’d be cool but I don’t expect any RTS from Blizzard in the near future.

It’s more or less a dead genre at the AAA level. At least until some indie blows up and shows it’s still profitable.

RATS. I want to see Odyn one shotting like a trillion N’raqi with his thunderspear. Given that he’s taken down entire legion ships with it in one shot, seeing the keepers plow through Old Gods would be so cool (if you’re playing the Titan forged)

Granted the Old God faction could have their heros as well like Mythrax, but they never fight the Keepers personally in the campaign.

And give us BASED Titan facilities with a pan, tilt, and elevation camera option. With cool maps with more 3D components than SC3.

I’d just like more lore and mini campaigns like they did with SC2 and Nova.

Ewww…

Yeah though even the covert ops thing for SC2 is almost a decade old at this point.

I’d love to see more Starcraft in general since I like that franchise more than Warcraft, but I think it’s safe to say that Blizzard has given up on RTS for either setting.

correction microsoft has given up. besides microsoft has empire of ages for its rts cash cow.

Don’t “ewww” the Prime Designate, who defeated Prime Time Ragnaros along with Tyr, and the full strength Old Gods. You, a DK, know nothing of valor or honor, unlike me, a valorous and noble and humble Warrior.

I want a solo story driven Warcraft RPG.

I vote pre-orc invasion Eastern Kingdoms, or maybe even in the AU where the Orcs and Draenei never came.

I want to see a single-player immersive sim/RPG style Warcraft game. Something like Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines or Deus Ex but Warcraft.

Or in Starcraft, or Diablo.

I just want more immersive sims. We get so little and the people who made Prey got shut down.

Not after what they did to WC3. Blizz can’t make a good RTS anymore, possibly never again. They even said that SC3 may not even be an RTS. They might be forever done with that genre even though RTS is why Blizzard exists in the first place.

A solo player version of world of warcraft set before the orc invasion would be awesome. I would so play that. And a bonus it shouldn’t require internet to play.

I think that ship has sailed for anything coming out of any large studio, unfortunately.

I never really liked the WC3 take on the RTS genre… dont get me wrong I LOVED!!! the story and progressing through the campaign but I didnt like being punished for Macro scaling.

I much preferred the SC2 implementation and especially SC2 COOP commanders, where you could either focus purely on macro or focus on hero units and macro/base building was handled for you (or a hybrid of the two).

I think wow needs a Netflix Anime series… though I worry it might be too progressive and not reflective of the darker nature of the franchises origins. I would love a lord of clans adaption.

No it’s not, it just evolved into Grand Strategy that generally only one publisher has locked down. All of the Paradox grand strategy games are RTS’.
