More transmog options?

Hey guys, I was looking through all my limited transmog options and I think with the options to hide armor, we should also be opening up some more transmog options for folks.

First suggestion would be that we have a massive addition to the shirts in the game, a lot of them work with some looks but for those of us that want to cover some skin on our more serious characters, it would be great to have more options. I would love to see a lot of shirts with old and newer chainmail, or simple plate looks so that we can lay our slutmog chests over them and make the chest slot look like something more than just a platekini.

Second suggestion is that we have another slot for pants to wear under our leggings. with the same idea in mind for more shirt options. Plus it would be great to see a full body bandage outfit to match the shirt for folks who want a slightly mummy look.

Lastly allowing folks to transmog the gear type beneath their classes currently accepted transmog type. Back in the day plate wearers started out in mail, and mail users started out in leather… a lot of players remember being decked out in these lower armor types leveling up, and it would be great to transmog into them to make our characters look like they used too. Not only that it will make players excited to go transmog hunting again, but it will give them access to two different armor types for their outfit building and roleplay options on most classes. This will allow folks to have a lot more room for creativity in how their character looks compared to everyone else of their class and make them identify with them in a deeper way.

I would spend hours a day grinding and collecting again if I could unlock all those old looks and being able to make my slutmogs look like real armor sets for my more serious characters, specifically this pally of mine for example.

Anyway, what do you all think? Is this worth the time to put in to make players feel more satisfied with their character customization as far as how they look compared to everyone else? Leave a comment, lets get a discussion going.

The cloth classes and their limitation of cloth only was something that has been a problem since the end of Wotlk when the system was first started, and I would have no issue with them allowing clothies to transmog above cloth. But with blizz, nothing outside of their comfort zone changes quickly. I am hoping that we can open their minds up bit by bit.

They tend to let us have fun in babysteps these days

I have all these great legendary items that are basically useless junk (sans for maybe their time walking dungeons, and the firelands staff to be a mount)
Would be nice if I could mog them since it was a PITA to get them and is a damn shame I can’t show them off or build a mog set around them.

That is another thing that has never made sense, if we put all the time and effort into collecting legendary items, then we should be allowed to mog them and continue to use their appearance as the status symbols that they are.
Just having an older legendary before legion is an accomplishment itself, not being able to show them off is almost criminal.

If he stuck his gear in the obliterator in zuldazar he would get cloth and metal ore back (shrugs)

My biggest thing would be to let us xmog more weapons into different types. For example, I would love to xmog my dual-wielding shammy /frost dk into a 2h wep. My fury warrior into two 1-handed weapons. Or Even xmog into a 1h wep and a shield. So basically anything you can equip into anything else you can equip.

i’d play fury more if you weren’t forced to TG. it looks ridiculous imo.

I agree, the forced dual wielding and forced titan grip transmog is just annoying. Being able to transmog dual wielding into a two hander model should be fine, both specs are damage dealers, so its not that confusing.

And being able to transmog dual wielding specs like fury to make it look as if you are holding 1 handers should be allowed.
