I would like to see more options for taming mechanical pets that what is currently offered. Let me tame a Gnomeragon turret or any of the numerous mechanicals i see in game but can only tame (limited) robot chickens, rabbits, squirells, gorillas, dogs & cats.
Bad idea? Peace

I feel like they might leave that kinda stuff for the eventual mech class, rp wise hunters seem more intune with nature

Well when they let undead be hunters, that kind of trashes them being in tune with nature imo. No other fantasy lore has animals getting cuddly with zombies, ijs.
I guess its kinda the same as undead priests, undead shouldnt be able to be light healers but they can be priests most likely due to shadowpriests.
My guess is undead hunters are good with undead creatures and the RP just leaks and they can tame anything kinda like undead priests can be both light healers and shadow dps.
You could make the argument that mecha gnomes are basically half computer so they should be able to tame machines.
But i have the feeling like we will eventually get a Engineer class and they might be saving deployable turrets and stuff for it.

Interesting never heard about them adding a Mech class to the game. Whats the resource to that info, would love to read more about it
No resource, just a bunch of youtubers that have blizzard contacts and have been expecting them for quite a long time now. We dont have a ton of other possible classes outside of a tech class and maybe a dark ranger like spec.
I wish they would re-balance pet specs/families or allow us to switch them. There are so many pets I would love to use, including Mechanicals, but Ferocity pets are simply superior.

Omg i wish they would too
I see what your saying from a logic standpoint although i would think the next class would be Necromancer, instead of trying to make a entire class out of a existing profession. As a high level engineer i can make turrets already to assist me in combat, and applying the professions existing toys as a hunter (also weapon of my preference is a gun), Im already a “tinkerer” in a sense. They could add more and better engineering creations too instead of creating an all new class but hey I guess we shall see,
I actually would like to see them add a Bard class to keep pushing the edge on character creation tbh
Yeah I wish hunter pets could fluidly switch between spec and family ability too. I’m so tired of having to used undead raptors on Survival for the MS effect and ensuring that as few CC abilities can incap my pet as possible.
I’d love to use a mechanical pet and play pretend that I’m an engineer spec hunter, but the value lost from losing MS to just getting defense matrix is absurd.

I want to pick my pet “spec” there are a number of cool “cunning” pets but in game cunning pets are worthless.
