More RP Quests, Please

This expansion, I have noticed a few attempts at various “RP” quests similar to the kind of thing you’d find in Baldur’s Gate III. For instance, in Hallowfall the quest “A Principled Principal” places upon you the responsibility to choose the Lightspark Commissary’s new airship captain. Your choice actually initiates unique dialogue and interactions when you visit later on. Though minor in this particular quest, I think this choice at the end really elevated the story and made it much more engaging.

I would personally love to have more of this kind of thing. Bringing back a bit of the RPG in MMORPG by allowing us to choose our path in more quests to the result of varied interactions. Perhaps not as impactful as BG3 choices, but at least something to feel more immersed and like our actions impact Azeroth in some way.

That is all. Have a cookie: :cookie:

If they were done as well as bg3 sure.

Give me the option to have the earthen shutting down scream out the name of his dog in place of his wife to roaring laughter.

Blizzard is afraid of fun though sadly.

Let’s rob a house like we did with that dragon who lived in Pandaria.

The stay awhile and listen things were a good touch this expansion. They streamlined the story for those who just want to get through it but kept the story stuff in there for us to see along the way if we wanted.

More choices is usually great but I dunno how many people would really enjoy having to click on options all the time if they don’t really care for it. Unless it’s just ridiculous/ funny options. :joy: like “let’s just flip the board game over, I don’t want to play this crap” when they are trying to play lights gambit with you.

Did you know, in another MMO people gather to watch concerts put on by players with instruments in game… they aren’t playing a tune that they match in game, they are using in game instruments to come up with new music and essentially hold a medivel concert!!

I watched it, it was amazing.

In game instruments, people learned how to play them in game, and then people go together, made up songs with the instruments and made a freaking concert!! Other MMOs are miles ahead of us in RP, RPG and other modes.

I think every expansion should include at least one small questline specific to each race. Just so we get some idea of what’s going on with everyone during a given period. It sucks how much detail in the lore is told rather than shown.

Yeah WoW has never been good at adding good RP features. They got to comfortable letting people make addons for everything.

…and then incorporating said Add-on later.

I was working on a few different AC/DC and Metallica covers with the electric guitar before I quit FFXIV. The musical instruments in that game are pretty awesome, not gunna lie.
