More PVE balance?

This opinion is purely from the perspective of someone who has played a majority of paladin in SoD so far and I understand it may be unpopular, please take it with a grain of salt.

While I do appreciate being able to 1v1 almost any class with zero effort, paladin’s are clearly overpowered in the PvP scene, they have multiple health bars, can escape just about anything, and do a crazy amount of burst damage. They aren’t unstoppable but they are seriously strong in phase 1.
That being said, I’m honestly disappointed with where we are falling in PVE damage and effectiveness in boss fights. Obviously people will still bring a paladin because we have so much utility in raid but I’d like to see us doing a bit more damage in single target boss fights. Even with an optimal setup and BiS gear the highest parse on a paladin was about 160dps over the fight. The highest parse for a warrior is well over 225dps. I’m not saying we should get a unilateral buff to our class because we ARE already very strong but I’d like to see the DPS margins to be a bit tighter in PVE in the upcoming phases.
At the very LEAST my hope is that by the time we are level 60 and everyone has their full kits that NO ONE CLASS will be significantly more powerful than any other in PVE, I would be entirely disappointed to see any class outed or left behind in place of another fury warrior (or any other class/spec) because they are just that much more over powered.

The lead classic dev plays paladin. He buffed it in wrath (as if it needed it), and he will ensure it is powerful throughout SoD. Not every class can be top dps.

I literally even said I don’t want paladins buffed unilaterally, I want more balance in PVE. Yes there always needs to be a top DPS, but It should be more based on gear and how well you play your class rather than how powerful your class is from the get go.

Tbh I agree with your points in terms of all classes being close as possible in dps given an equal level of gear and skill.
I just hate paladins though. They get 3 shaman totem buffs in the superior form of an aura (strength, agi, tremor). They get a kick. Other classes that can kick do not also have the ability to dispel/prevent movement slows (druid kick is OP for the same reason). Windfury for alliance. SoD is the lead dev’s little fantasy realm to live out all his ret pally dreams. I simply cannot support buffs to paladin in any way.
