More Playable Races

I feel like we need a playable races boom, something of Legion level extension. We could have Vyrkul, Tuskarr, Jinyu, Tortollans, many Furbolgs, Arakoa, Hozen, Naga, and Quilloar. Each of those would be amazing to add to the game, and could be fun allied races to play as. Each could have their own useful racial ability, like faster swim speed or something else unique to them that could make the gameplay more fun. It is a lot of work, but it would be amazing to see any of those as playable races in the future.

That’s a weird way to say Gnolls.

Yeah, hogger and the gnolls should have teamed up with the horde a long time ago.

Alliance have dogs, so it would only make sense for Horde to get Saberons as playable race. I would create Saberon rogue named kill4catnip so fast.

Give me the not evil Mogu from BFA and whatever Drakenoid faction we have in DF and I’ll buy some of your absurdly expensive race changes.

And I would rather have interesting races, all neutral, than I would have another elf race just because the transmog works on them.

I don’t see Naga or Quillboar ever being playable.

The other ones maybe though.

Probably never playable. I don’t see those being anything but an enemy unit.

you dream of being a furbog

Hozen or Jinyu maybe.

Those are my top choices right now.

I think it makes sense and would be funny to see playable Hozen, TBH.

You left out Ogres. :beers:

The most popular allied races weren’t in the lore until the same expansion they were added so forget ogres and all this boring stuff

What we need are more furries and more scalies like vulpera and dracthyr

Imma sound like a broken record here buuuuuuuuuuuuut . . .

Ogres for the Horde

Vrykul for the Alliance

. . . Skål Skål Skål Skål Skål Skål Skål Skål Skål Skål!!!

Saberon is the only playable race I want at this point.
Since we are finally getting as close to possible to a dragon race, and that was my second want, I’ll just double down on really wanting Saberon.

I’d consider making a vurkul or jinyu maybe…but none of the rest…just Saberon…and I’d make at least 3 of them.

A grudge/war between vrykul and ogres might make for an interesting way to introduce these races. And the Alliance and Horde need to do something in their area, and get pulled into said grudge by needing allies and taking sides.

he said if you get this thread to 150 he will decide he wants a murloc island city for the game

They have a lot of different appearance options for them though.

what do you think of the Smurfs as a legendary race

We already have them. They mutated into Draenei.

I’d rather them use the resources for more customizations for existing races instead of spreading them too thin by adding more of them.

One of my many issues with Blizzard adding 10 new races to the game in BfA is that it sparked the belief that they should do it again, just with trash mob races that people say they would play, but would probably put out low population numbers compared to the prettiest races. They should stick to adding one or two races per expansion and have them be organically relevant to the story, not dredge up races that were introduced over a decade ago and shoehorn them into the narrative for the sake of meeting a quota.

This. Adding a bunch of new races is pointless if they’re released in an unfinished state and need to receive the rest of their customizations in a later patch, assuming they get anything at all. If you gave me a choice of getting ankoan as an Alliance race or getting new barber options for the character I’m posting on, I’m gonna go with the latter, and it’s not just because I think ankoan are the most boring NPC race in the game.

adding smurfs would be the greatest - they are a legendary race that you have all known since you were babies
