You can only do that because it’s the catch up period. Warfronts were, at one point, 340 gear and 1 370 when it was your factions turn.

You lost me.
I meant things like LFR etc. Got the gear I wanted way before I could get it through the conquest system. I was 355, well before anyone could get through the 355 lvl stuff and move on to the 370. I’d be well over 370 now if I could get a damn ring drop or two but nevertheless, it’s a lot quicker to gear in PvE than PvP is my only point.

I won’t argue that the system is perfect. It certainly isn’t, but I do think it’s more idel than some people (like the OP) think.
But I do think the issue is that PVE has far more levels of difficulty than PVP does, so the gearing may seem more intimidating to a PVP person. I guess to expand on that I guess the issue is the difficulty/intimidation hump between Randoms and even Yolo RBG’s is a far bigger hump than say the difference between Heroic Dungons and a +3 Keystone. Then you got all the one-off crap like World Bosses just (in theory) dropping gear from the sky.
More ways to “PVP” might help, but I don’t know what to specifically suggest.

You will never get 370 gear through LFR, pvp you will… higher if you pushed rating from the beginning. Heck my new 120 is ilvl 266 and doing fine in random BGs which is what most people here queue for.
In theory you can I think, due to RNGesus, but I know what you mean. Bags of freshly printed $20’s could fall into my yard also. I haven’t done LFR in forever.

And in theory you could queue rated and be geared with random drops in a week. No worrying about loot once a week, can spam queue it over and over

That’s all I need and I’ve been mostly stuck for awhile because I can’t seem to get one. I’ve gone up maybe 5 ilvls the last month on my hunter. Just not getting much of anything I need. A few small upgrades here or there is all. My druid has caught up and is stuck with the exact same tings keeping her from breaking 370. Rings and a trink. /sigh
The raid? No, like 355 with chances to upgrade. When I tried mythics I got a 340 out of the chest and haven’t done it since.
Yes you will. Eventually. But I got there a lot quicker doing World bosses etc. IOW, I was 355+ before anyone doing just bgs could get their 355 set done because it was only once a week.

I thought LFR was 340, normal 350 heroic 370, mythic 385+? When did this change? Either way, just do pvp if you like it, don’t really need super high ilvl for them unless going for high ratings which you’d get the gear if you were queuing those faster than just capping through randoms.
A new trinket would be nice, I can relate.

You live in your own world if you think I am angry. It’d be laughable about your comments if it wasn’t so sad.
Blizz wants it that way to force people to PVE, which is really what they want the game to be about. They have admitted many times they do not like PVP at all and regret allowing it in the game.
Course if they did remove PVP they would be committing suicide. What I want them to do is pay for more attention to PVP than they are. Minor tweaks and trying to balance PVE for PVP is stupid.
My answer has always been “When you join a rated BG, everyone is at the same exact level of gear (top) no matter what you are wearing. Let it be about skill not gear”.
That’d make everyone happy.

PvP is just for fun, that’s why I do it and don’t bother picking up the gear I won. I don’t need it. There’s not many 370 pieces if any I need so I don’t worry about that.
I’d like the current system a lot more if the gearing for PvE was more difficult (and impactful) instead of my preferred method taking weeks while my less preferred method taking a lot less.
Again, when did they change LFR ilvls from 340? Is it part of the catch up month or did you just get rng lucky? Also I hit 360 pretty easy just queuing some randoms every night. I’m pretty happy with the gearing system.
I haven’t done LFR in a couple weeks. Was 355 last I looked. Maybe the first raid was 340? I don’t remember it being that low. I remember the only reason I did that was because I could get the same ilvl with a chance of upgrades. I didn’t do it much. I don’t see why it would be lower than a simple world boss.
Was going by loot tables when I did a search. Heroic raids drop 370.
Well my hunter still has the ring I got in a chest that says mythic. It’s 340. I didn’t do mythics again after that low a level. We did a normal mythic, got a key, did 2 to beat the time for the next key. Got a 340 and I was like nope. I don’t see how or why i would have done LFR for 340 but I looked too. WoWhead says 340.

Bear in mind that arena != PvP
I’m the exact opposite. I could care less about the PVE aspect of this game. It’s the most BORING part of the game, hands down.
The FUN is really in PVP where I can play against another human, not a “bot” boss who does the same thing every time. BORING!

Well I mean, that’s obvious – and that is why so many players quit. Like 1/2 the base IIRC – and they do not post subscription numbers anymore because of it.
They never ever learn.
