…not when world first speed run guilds who have this down to a science and practice this on private servers daily, kill them.
Retail players watch top guilds kill bosses they’ve practiced for 10 years and laugh at classic because it’s “easy”.
But then a paladin walks in and solos current raid tier bosses in retail.
most people are just speedrunning the game to tbc. It’s disgusting and sad but it is what it is.
It’s not that these are the only people playing, it’s just they’re the most vocal and annoying. It’s why we can’t have nice things in retail.
No, retail players see that pretty much everyone that walks into BWL is able to full clear it, and then they laugh at classic for being easy.
The difference is very few people could ever hope to replicate anything that Rextory does. Were talking even less than .000001%. I would love to see any proof of anyone managing to solo current tier raid bosses like Rex does. It is the case of one amazing player.
Whereas, a sizeable percentage of the Classic playerbase is able to full clear all raids. Just have a look around any major city, everyone is in full raid gear. Take a look at WCLs, which shows how many people with one boss kill are then able to full clear BWL.
I know it sucks to hear, but Classic is an easy game. That’s not to say it’s a bad game or it’s less fun, but the PVE in the game is just disgustingly easy.
And especially since all the “world firsts” for this content all happened some 15 years ago. The try-hards from the private servers are not really achieving anything except in their own minds.
Play at your own pace and enjoy the game. There is no need for speed in Classic WoW.
Thanks.
Even if 1 person can do it and it’s amazing, its still possible which shows that mechanics =/= difficulty if you can cheese them. I have never heard of any player soloing a classic raid boss in the 15 years since it has been out–3 to 5 manning onyxia is probably one of the closest I’ve seen.
The challenge isn’t the number of mechanics, but the consequences of a few mechanics, especially when dealing with 40 players…on top of dealing with just getting them to show up. And it’s a single difficulty, so no learning fights on easy mode before increasing the difficulty and adding a few more things to watch out for.
And then you have viscidus–an easy boss if you cheese consumables, but probably* (would love to see it) impossible without 20+ sappers and TONS of poison consumables as alliance. Now try to get 40 players to farm 20x large venom sacs each week for 2 pieces of loot…this is just meh game design honestly.
Lots of guilds clearing AQ for sure, but it was nice to watch Defcamp and Melderon wipe on emps quite a bit and say how much harder it was compared to the practice server after bashing Skeram/Sartura/Fankriss as complete jokes (100% are, Blizz learned not to put the hard bosses first after vaelstraz)
Is it easy? Yeah I absolutely think so. But that guys wife refuses to download DBM and keeps chaining eye beams. Or someone doesn’t have a threat meter add-on installed. Now everyone’s wiped and we have a 10 minute runback/rez wait.
Was it easy? Completely different story when you think of the trial and error involved with a fight like twin emps, just to understand the mechanics in 2005.
hearing about that paladin makes me doubt that raid design is actually good in BfA like pretty much everyone ive heard says it is
although, anyone who has an actual opinion about that is someone that actually bought BfA, so their opinions are probably going to be biased
When you watch this paladin solo a raid tier boss he explains how he was able to. Always bugs
I’m having fun clearing content fast. Really shouldn’t let how others play the game affect you like that. You do you boo.
classic is easy. even lfr on retail is harder than anything in classic.
This.
I mean, I enjoyed leveling 2 characters purely through quests and the dungeons that involved quests. What do you expect people to do with an endgame that’s been solved for years? Speed running adds a new level to the content.
lol, no. I came back and tried BFA. LFR is even more of a joke.
did you kill nzoth on lfr?
Havent played 8.3
I’m talking about dazaralor and the eternal palace. Honestly I quit before eternal palace. Preordered shadowlands and got a free 120 (btw hilarious you can do that).
I played a healer at max level for literally the first time and 1 shot every boss inclduing ashzara. I didnt even notice she was dead until the shiny “you did it!” achievement came across my screen. I logged out laughing and havent been back sense.
To clarify im not saying classic is harder than retail they are different games imo. Just that LFR is an even bigger joke than smashing MC/BWL with full world buffs.
On easy difficulties while decked out in mythic gear and cherry picking very specific bosses, he’s not soloing entire raids.
lfr nzoth has been reaching upwards to 10+ wipes at a high frequency since its inception. and we can even look at bosses from expacs ago, like lei shen, that were still harder than anything in classic.
classic is easy
lfr trash has more mechanics than classic bosses
No one said is wasnt, clearing the content is pretty easy, but I’m betting your guild does not do any real speed runs.

lfr trash has more mechanics than classic bosses

I literally cant remember any trash mechanics. Honestly the only mechanic i remember is some old god boss that summons a tentacle through a portal that b*tch slapped me across the room mid heal.
My dude BFA is an utter trash expansion and you know it as well. At least classic has a good leveling experience imo. Retail Encourages you to skip leveling lol.
we do, and thanks for reminding me that brings up another point
classic raids are way faster than even one wing of lfr
so lets unpack this
retail lfr on average:
has more mechanics
more deaths
takes longer to complete
yet you think it’s easier than classic raiding? what measurable metrics are you using to derive such a conclusion?
Your posts about clearing content without learning any mechanics say otherwise. Maybe you are just a troll or a liar. Prolly both. Later dude.
my guild does both, we go into raids without any knowledge at first, and then proceed to speed clear every week to challenge ourselves, as no other challenge for classic exists. why do you think speed running is so popular in classic but not as popular in retail?
edit… honestly man they’re both easy i dont know what i got myself dragged into this who honestly cares sorry lol
not relevant to discussion but i agree
