More Nuetral Playable races

I mean like Nuetral at the beginning like pandarens or mayble at the character creation screen, but gets to choose weather to join Alliance or Horde.

Some races Im thinking of are Satyrs, Gnolls, Quillboars, Tuskarr, Furbolgs, etc.

To unlock them you have to do new achievements that are difficult to accomplish. Maybe 1 achievement per race or 1 achievement for all. But the achievement would have to be really hard if 1 achievement unlocks all.

I think at this point many races should have a neutral option. There can be some bonuses to entice you to join a faction, but not so great that staying neutral is devastating to your game experience.

Remember in EQ2 you could start off with one faction but then leave and start a quest chain to join another. The Dark Elf one was pretty gruesome.

Honestly next one should be a re-skin goblin do to undermine and alliance helping them and stuff

and id make another one making it be 52nd goblin

Next one should not be a reskin it should be someting blizz has to actually put some effort into like Arrakoa or Sethrak

No one’s going to go out and do an arbitrarily difficult achievement to unlock gnolls when they can just play any of the 20+ races already available, unless they really like gnolls. Blizzard isn’t going to tie multiple race unlocks to one achievement instead of individual grinds, either.

It could be sort of a bragging right

My sister used to do that. She liked the evil fae but preferred the good fae’s city. She would start in Neriak, betray them, and then get the rep to go join Kelethin. All so she could play her evil fae in a good city.

I’ve been waiting for ogres for years…

Dont care where they show up, Horde or Neutral, gimmie my Ogres and Mogu already Blizzard…

Yes. More characters that have a homogenized bland adventure without unique quest lines please. Having unique stories for each side feels bad. Missing out on faction specific mogs is more feels bad. We should all agree that giving blizz the out for two sides was the best thing the players ever did!! Less content please!!! :slightly_smiling_face:

Honestly with the history of wow, it makes no sense why any race would want to join the horde or alliance. All they do is kill each other and never make and progress one way or the other

Oh no. No, no, no. This idea is like shoving a bunch of hippos onto a runaway train, expecting them to organize themselves while the whole thing derails in slow motion. A neutral start? Choosing sides at the character creation screen? Satyrs, Gnolls, Quillboars? This train isn’t just off the tracks—it’s barreling straight into a swamp full of deeply confused, hovering hippos who don’t know whether they belong in the Horde or the Alliance.

Let’s talk about balance for a moment—because that’s exactly what this idea completely disregards while it’s strapped to booster rockets and yet somehow still moving at a snail’s pace. Adding new neutral races throws faction dynamics into chaos, forcing a system overhaul so massive that even the most powerful hover hippo couldn’t glide over the wreckage. The entire faction system would be derailed harder than a steam locomotive being piloted by blindfolded fish clowns.

And the unlock system? Achievements? Oh, good. Because nothing says fun like grinding a mountain of painful, mind-numbing tasks, all so you can finally hop aboard another faulty train, only for it to break down before leaving the station. The effort-reward balance here is completely out of whack—why make unlocking races so ridiculously hard when the lore barely justifies their existence in player factions to begin with?

At the end of the day, this idea isn’t innovation—it’s a slow-moving disaster, packed with questionable mechanics, doomed to float endlessly in the void like a hover hippo that’s lost its sense of direction. The faction system is not built to handle this. The player experience would suffer massively. And the whole concept would inevitably crash like a rusted-out clown train struggling to move forward despite having missiles strapped to its side.

In short? This idea belongs on the slowest, most broken train imaginable, forever circling a pit of disappointed hippos who know deep down that it was never going to work. Let’s never let this train leave the station.

I want Dredgers, Fungarian, or Kyrian Stewards to be playable races!

I love the tiny races.

The Tortollan would be cool to play as, too.
