*More* Minor Characters

I have seen some of these threads before and I always had fun reading the ideas that people had for the character development of some minor characters in WoW.
I’ve been questing in Zandalar again and I wonder how much of the new council members will be shown or if Talanji will be the sole representative since the Queen is now apart of the larger Horde Council.

I also want to know more about Zolani “Blade of the Queen” and if we will get another “Shield of the Queen” as if they’re roles that will always be filled as personal bodyguards.

This is always true for every council.

Baine is always the sole npc we interact with if we’re sent to meet the council (or Baine and Mayla, but the other leaders are always missing.)

We will be that way with Calia and Pedro Proudmoore, too.

Also, Tayo who used to be a Widow’s Bite lieutenant, has been redeemed and appointed by Talanji as the Zandalari ambassador to the Horde, and she has yet to appear in the game !

The minor character I’m the most looking forward to meet in the game for the first time is Ohseso, the new leader of the Shatterspear tribe, who was introduced in Exploring Kalimdor

Yeah I fear for the Desolate Council and that Calia & Lilian will be the only 2 with anything to say. I’m interested to see if Velonara becomes important or if Blizzard will keep the Darkfallen off to the side like the Void Elves even with multiple void-related things occurring.

Hopefully we get some more Troll characters in the inevitable Darkspear heritage story (or a questline similar to Baine with the centuar)

I think it would be cool to see more of Cariel Roame since she was put into the game. And of course some of the others from the Alliance/Horde Hearthstone groups. If not - we have the Exile’s Reach characters.

They need to bring back that draenei commander from Nagrand that used Broken thugs to get around draenei laws against the torture of prisoners.

A morally dark draenei’s pretty rare, for a race that can really come off as very samey. Individuals like that provide a bit of nuance and texture. He was delightfully unpleasant.

Zen’kiki is the first one that comes to mind. Ever since I first quested with him I wonder how my favorite disciple is doing. I know he pops in from time to time even now in Drafonflight but I’d like to see him in a more active rol where he shows how much he’s progressed with his craft.

I feel like night elves just need minor characters period. Tyrande, Malf, Maiev, and Shandris are basically the only ones that do things. I would like to see what Raene is up to or just import Lunara from HoTs.

I’m always beating the dead horse but I really want to see development for Celestine of the Harvest. She’s always been such an intriguing character to me, and I feel like she would be such a great PoV character to get some more deep-dive lore on Harvest Witches. I was hoping she’d have more involvement in Val’sharah with the feral Worgen and I was also happy to see her in Shady Sanctuary but we know so little about her.

I’ve also been super intrigued by Ulfar since finding him in the little Thornspeaker grotto and I felt what we got from him was just NOT enough. I want to really love Thornspeakers because the aesthetic is just mwah but the lore is so shallow and barely fleshed out when it could be so good.

Other notable characters that pique my interest and I’d love to see more involvement from:
Elder Torntusk (The whole Revantusk tribe, tbh - WHERE IS OUR FOREST TROLL SKIN?)
Earthcaller Yevaa (The DELIGHT I had finding her in Zskera Vaults!)
Speaker Ik’nal (The fate of the Shadowtooth Tribe was SO vague.)
Stormcaller Mylra (She’s so sassy and fiery, I love this tiny angry woman!)

Lastly: Delaryn Summermoon, I loved her in the War of Thorns and following her whole story was so devastating but really interesting because it was like witnessing it in real time if you played during BfA launch. I really felt like they dropped her story at the end of the Darkfallen unlock and really didn’t offer us any closure.

Unless She and the rest of the Undead Night Elves come back to he Alliance, I’d much rather have that story in limbo forever. Having them stay on the Horde after their people kept asking them to come back would make no sense, more so if later they participate in faction conflict where these undead night elves start attacking their loved ones.
They have not been shunt or cast away, they have not been forsaken so they would have no excuse to start killing their friends.

I always liked Gorgonna since the questlines from Grizzly Hills, and seeing her as the new leader of the Warsong was a good surprise. I really hope that Gorgonna, Jorin and Thura could get even more attention in the future.

Yeah, Although I’d still like some closure either way, I think the most ideal ending would be to have ALL of them return to their kin. I can understand why they’d have a bit of an existential crisis and have their faith in Elune shaken after being risen into undeath but it seemed silly to have any of them stay with the Forsaken.

If they were going to give the Darkfallen skin to Night Elves to begin with, Delaryn should have returned with them to atone for her actions in Darkshore. I feel like it should’ve been an all or nothing situation.

Yes please !! I hope we get her, some more Wildhammer content in general, and Dagran Jr.

Maybe the Draenei space pirate rogue (Star Captain Barabos) can be used as a morally grey character as well.

I hope they also expand on the Lightforged Draenei characters. It could be fun to see Grand Lector Enaara again and fighting something this time like she has always wanted. I also want the other Lightforged leaders(?) to maybe say something about Blademaster Telaamon.

I’d love for them to bring back the whole Argus Lightforged crew. And not just to kill them off like the Blademaster.

Interrogator Khan ( I had to look him up. It’s been a very long time) is a grizzled veteran who’s willing to bend the rules to get what he feels he needs from his prisoners. He not only dehumanizes his prisoners, but also demeans the broken of Telaar that work for him.

I would really like the draenei heritage armor to explore the reunification of ALL draenei, the broken most of all. Khan is one of the few characters that openly carry water for the social stigma that the normal draenei supposedly hold against the Krokul.

He’s a more loaded character than a space pirate without a space ship.

I kinda want Dorthar to show up someday, the og friendly centaur. He’s pretty unimportant but Bloodsworn was my first WoW comic and I’m sorta attached to it.

Gonna be a little Forsaken focused and greedy here, but given the lack of culture outside of Sylvanas and Blight (both of which I still enjoy) we could use it.

  • The Black Bride - the Arathi Basin Battlemaster

  • Grand Executor Mortuus - the, theoretic, 5 star governor-general of the Forsaken (and got a hell of a promotion from Foreman to Grand Executor Wrath-Cata)

  • Alexi Barov - heir to the Barov family and company - theoretically would still own Brill, Southshore, Tarren Mill, and Cear Darrow if the Forsaken recognize former living but now Forsaken holdings (like they did in Arathi)

  • Of course the entire Desolate Council - but felt as if they could mostly go without saying

Draenei in general are long overdue for some love especially post-Legion/Argus. I recently dusted off my Draenei Shaman (one of my very first characters!) and had forgotten how much I love them.

I hope they eventually give us an update on the state of their people and show how Shamanism has grown in their culture with Nobundo at the helm. More often than not they get shoe-horned into an ‘all one under the Light’ archetype and I’d love to see some more variety from them. I felt WoD did a good job showing this with the Rangari, but I want MORE.

… and please for the love of the Gods, can they PLEASE fix the Exodar.

Come to think of it, I wonder why no one has been asking to see the actual horde squad from Bloodsworn?

She really should be at the Orgrimmar embassy instead of the Zandalari Representative NPC.

Exactly!

I did find it disappointing that the Shadowtooth was just wiped out by the Twilight’s Hammer offscreen. Granted their lack of presence in Mount Hyjal in Cata wasn’t a good thing, but I hoped that they either hide underground or retreated elsewhere.

Likewise.

Though with how they established a minor character like Thega as the chieftain of the Shattered Hand by her mentioning how she challenged and overthrew Gordul and then lowkey confirming Garona had accepted Thura’s invitation to join the clan, I honestly wonder if the next time the Shattered Hand are featured Garona will be the chieftain.

I really hope that as Toghusuq Village updates, Dorthar will show up. Not only can it allow him and Ironhoof to reunite, but it give us a Maruuk and Kalimdor Centaur interaction.

I think because the comic isn’t as well known or remembered. Like when I first interacted with Ironhoof, the name felt familiar but I couldn’t place him at all until I looked him up on wowpedia.

Though it would be neat if they all showed up to help Ironhoof rebuild the Toghusuq Village.

Side note: I honestly wonder if the village would keep the name or be renamed by the tauren.
