About time! I really want to play Dracthyr, but I’m not interested in Evokers.
The interview with Ion left me confused.
“Beyond that, the last few classes we haven’t really gone broad with, there are some thematic and narrative challenges with. There are some races, for example, it’s very hard to imagine being druids. I don’t know what a goblin druid or mechagnome druid would look like in Azeroth culturally, in terms of their traditional background and what the Druids of the Grove and Cenarion circle typically value and welcome in. I would never say never, but I don’t think we have any immediate plans for further expansion like we’ve seen over the course of Dragonflight, beyond drachtyr.”
Are you saying that you haven’t worked on Druids/Shaman on other races yet, even though official sources said all races will have access to every class. In addition, Goblins doesn’t care about the elements, and the Shaman Ring doesn’t like them either, so what’s exactly the problem with Druids?
Seriously, did he admitted being a racist in Azeroth sense?
But what I really wanted was playable Drakonid. I’m annoyed, because we had an entire questline that perfectly lead up to them being an Allied Race… then nothing.
I have some issues with their proportions that I don’t think the current bodies address. But really I think all races need alot of options when it comes to different body types.
All of that and more! I want varied heights, and physiques. And it doesn’t even need to be sliders or anything, just more presets. Sliders would be nice though.
Not exactly new. They’ve been talking about this on and off for a while.
I’m almost gritting my teeth about the possibility of them fiddle jacking with our racials for new classes, but as long as the racials stay as are, I’d totally be down for trying out a Dracthyr Mage, as these days, Evoker and Mage are my favorite classes, so it might be cool to combine them… long as they don’t go messing with certain things.
Because those two races don’t have Glide, Soar, Surge Forward, Tail Swipe, or Wing Buffet. All of which I find super fun or really useful.
Not to mention I find the customizations on the Visage forms to just be more interesting than what those other two races have.
I wonder how the racials will work and if they make any changes. That alone may be enough reason to play the Dracthyr, even if someone doesn’t necessarily like the gecko form and opt to play in visage. Time will tell.
