The pet store in Boralus has all kinds of K9 friends but the pet list itself is pretty much just Corgis, Pugs, a Saint Bernard and Wolf pups. It would be nice to have Labradors, Dobermans, Rottweilers, Great Danes, etc. Even in BFA they have Mastiffs but no pets.

Cat pets will sit on your lap if you /pet them.

dont forget german shepherd and boxers i would love to have one as a hunter pet. both of mine died some years ago rest in peace bane, and sampson.
I’m not sure if those breeds exist in WoW’s universe though. I mean, I guess they could make those models… But then it’s kinda a matter of where do they stop? Are they going to spend all their time making EVERY dog breed?
If they took the Aussie Shep looking model and gave it some recolors to match the breeds like the ones you listed (yes I am aware you have listed short furred breeds), that would be enough to make people happy, and not require a whole new model.
Best of both worlds.

They added a Golden Retriever pet in 7.3 using the new dog model, but it never made it to live - which I consider to be the cruelest thing Blizzard has done.
They (activision) aren’t good boys.
First, make cat critters immune to damage.
Next add in more breeds of dogs (large and small) and some of those fat cats we saw (Not ghosts with awful back stories, please)
All equals happy times.
They need a schnauzer pet in game. Those buggers can get FEISTY.
And that’s just the miniatures…giants are…well…sizable.
So… you want police dogs? Cause we don’t have any K9s in game that I know of. Unless we count hunter wolves or the Gilnean dog.
I need American Cocker Spaniels, I know they are not K9 but as a hunter I need the gun dog.
