Entropic Embrace is taking the one of the most consistently annoying things about Shadow Priest and making it affect an entire race.
It doesn’t need to be removed but it needs to be toned down.

The harsh truth with this situation is that when (not if) the High Elf customization overtakes Void Elves it will prove that Void Elves weren’t the right option to begin with.
They’re already getting the blue eyes and skin tones. Might as well go the full way. There should be an option to turn off the visual effect of Entropic Embrace. That OR offer secondary racials for a High Elf aesthetic. Something like “Arcane Embrace” which would essentially be the same spell just with an arcane look.
I think you’re putting the cart before the horse on this one.

The conversation was that I said that I was against people calling for void elf erasure, Calli had said he thought it was rare to be almost non existent, and then I was being smarmy by pointing out that there was at least one person in this very thread calling for it.
No offense, on my end anyways, to any mlp fans.

No. They are still Void Elves which means the void racials stay. Entropic Embrace is part of being a Void Elf. If it’s good enough for Alleria Windrunner, it’s good enough for everyone else.

I never said “Delete” a race.
I said the “High Elf” aesthetics are going to overtake the Void Elf ones. That’s common knowledge.
only in skin tone, nothing else. They will remain void elves, racials, looks and all.
That’s not common knowledge. That’s an agenda out there for by like you and one other person.
Void elves are here to stay at least for now. And I think there are more void elf fans wanting that then you think.

Void Elves are a race with almost no story and they’re one of if not the most popular allied race on the alliance. They were the first failed attempt at High Elves. I think it’s silly to believe most of them aren’t going to change to the “High Elf” look when they have the opportunity to do so. I’m not saying there’s no Void elf fans but I think you’re greatly overestimating how many there are in comparison to the Pro Helfers.

My mage here will use one of the new skins… since we still don’t know what, if anything, is going to happen with hair, I am up in the air on that, though I am inclined to keep my current hairstyle which has short glowy tentacles on the top. I’m still on the fence with using the purple eyes, sticking to the default eyes I have now, or using one of the new blues.
My Warlock is staying exactly as he is. I think he looks amazing!

I really liked some of the concepts for a toggle option with the tentacle hair. The option to change the tentacles to high elven braids I thought was a pretty cool idea! Something i’d like to use on a warrior if I make mine with the High Elf look. I’m hoping they get some new hair styles. The original post did say something along the lines of “These are only SOME of the new options.” So we’ll see I guess.
I think the purple/violet eyes would look really cool on an arcane mage! Especially if you transmog the arcane artifact with it.
Now that you explain me that, i would really like to know that.
I would be funny that the answer would be: “we siphon a little void walker” knowing that elves have the ability to consume magic energies easly or absorb them, wouldn’t be that far off, i think

bruh thinking that they gave void elves normal skin and blue eyes to look like alleria instead of giving us a high elf option is beyond stupid
and saying “go horde if you wanna be a high elf” is also dumb as fuk since the whole point of a high elf is to be on the alliance
i like the void elf storyline but giving entropic embrace an option to turn it into “arcane surge” or something like that just for the sake of visuals is completely expected

I feel the same way when posters feel the need to get nasty and start swearing.
I’m also against Entropic Embrace being changed. Your a Void Elf, it doesn’t matter if you have pale skin, and blue eyes, your still a Void Elf.

But people can RP as a high elf and this customization allows them to do it on alliance side instead of horde.
