I see with The War Within we are getting MORE Dwarves as an allied race. I would’ve liked to see something new, like perhaps those humanoid Nerubians we see in some pictures for Azj-Kahet… and the whole “they don’t want to program the armors to fit on them”, they could do like the Dracthyr’s dragon form: give us character customizations to give them armors or robes, and for actual armor just make things like helmet, shoulders, belt, and tabard visible. I just… I don’t like us getting more dwarves, especially when we seem to be getting teased with humanoid Nerubians
Cry me a river. Both Gnomes and Dwarves have been on the low-end for YEARS AND YEARS and the devs STILL decide to pump out more Elf and Druid customizations.
Like hello? Does a little diversity hurt the game? I’m not asking for the whole ‘all classes for all races’ fiasco.
I wouldn’t mind if they removed nelfs and gnomes and replaced them with even more dwarves.
Yeah, more dwarves. I am sure this will really be the last branch of the Dwarven family tree we have. I think I am not sure I am not in the Dwarven Family Tree Department. Yet, I am pretty sure we have seen or have the whole set.
You know what we really do need in the race lineup: more Human variations maybe a metal variety or maybe a different Orc variety, not a skin color change but something.
Let’s never do that again. And make transmog work on the dragon form while we’re at it.
If they’re taller then are they still dwarves?
(The earthen are going to supposedly planned be bigger)
What about the Skardyn? Certain they’re deep in Grim Batol.

I play the more beastly races, or as far from human as i can get with only one major exception being the Worgen. I play also Undead, Trolls, Tauren, Orcs a tiny bit, even a Goblin here or there. Its why i wish we had those new Nerubian humanoids instead of another human-ish race, cause i can imagine their animations would be cool, especially asa spellcaster with 4 arms
As I said, I don’t work for the Dwarven Family Tree Department you would have to ask them that question. I just know of a few of the branches.
Wow is a massive game. Not every class, race, gender, gear, weapon, enchant combo is going to work for my specific tastes and that’s okay. Sometimes things are made for other people with different tastes and sensibilities because I’m represented elsewhere. Not everything has to cater to everyone
I personally would like to see baby versions of every race playable.
Think of that shadowlands toy Anima cell that can convert people to baby format. Now make that a playable race.
We have 4 different types of elves and people are mostly Ok with it, why the fuss with the dwarves gettin just one more ?
That will be the first Dwarf on the Horde though.
I don’t love the idea, because Dwarves are a core Alliance race and them being on The Horde is almost as cursed as Humans on the Horde, or Alliance orcs.
Faction identity is frayed enough, they should stop eroding it.
I’m confused. Did everyone have this reaction to TWO elf races released at the same time?
There’s one Dwarven Allied Race. Just one. For one side only.
From what they said, these ones are supposed to be taller than average dwarves— and you can play them Horde side.
I fail to see the issue with “all these dwarves.” When there’s only one other AR that’s dwarves.
These aren’t dwarves. They’re stone Titan constructs. The Curse of Flesh turned Earthen into Dwarves and much later on they joined the Alliance.
Earthen have nothing to do with anyone.
I wished those were the new Allied Race instead of a copy/paste race.
They are really cool looking.
We didn’t need a third dwarf, just toss Earthens into regular dwarf customizations like they did with Man’ari draenei.
No need to waste an Allied Race slot on something that could have been just a customization.
Blizzard didn’t learn from mechagnomes apparently.
So then what are Gnomes? Metallic titan constructs that have been given the Curse of Flesh? I.E. Mechagnomes? Blizzard stated we’re two different races.
As much sense as that makes, I suppose.
Junk Gnomes came after regular Gnomes. They’re still Gnomes.
Earthen aren’t after Dwarves. They came way before Dwarves. And these are theoretically taller, larger.
I wasn’t arguing what should or shouldn’t be an Allied Race. I was explaining that Earthen aren’t Dwarves and have zero to do with the Alliance.
