More Draenor Continents

Alternate Draenor has plenty of other continents besides the one we visited (that continent should have a name tbh.), and I think it’s a shams they aren’t explored at all.

Proof there are more than two continents.

I am a veteran of several wars and campaigned on two continents now. If you have a war worth joining, I will serve for a time.

At least until I can kill the Sorcerer-King!

There was a scarpped ogre continent in Draenor, but that was cancelled and Chronicles doesn’t mention it.

I know returning to Draenor is unpopular, but maybe, and updated “WoD Classic+” could feature more continents? I at least want the names.

A return to WoD Draenor to deal with the Lightbound could be something we see. After all, the Maghar will likely want to return there to save their home now that they’ve fulfilled their obligation to the Horde on Azeroth, and we left notable characters behind, like Draka and Drek’thar.

It’s also possible that there are Draenei who did not ‘convert’ and are part of a resistance. Exarch’s Maladaar and Naielle come to mind.

if they re-did WoD, it would be hard NOT to add more content

Didn’t the Lightforged conviced the arakkoa and orgres on Draenor or is it just the Orcs?

I really don’t think anyone has the stomach for more AU nonsense. If they want to explore the rest of Draenor they should have us find more shards of Outland.

The Lightbound convinced at least one clan of Ogres, the Kor’gall, to join them. You end up killing their leader after he reveals this fact to you and tries to kill you. But nothing has been revealed about the Arrakoa or the rest of the Ogres.

While Kor’gall, Greatson of Kor’gall did join the Lightbound and led a uprising against the Mag’har, it is unknown if other Ogres are amongst the Lightbound. Furthermore the status of the Arakkoa are unknown but they were last known to be coming together with both the Shadow and the Light… So if we ever return to AU Draenor, expect Arakkoa to be the resistance.

AUs are honestly fine, they’re great even, because it gives us the opportunity to see ‘what if’ scenarios that don’t mess around with our timeline resulting in retcons.

Personally I’ve always wanted to see what alternate Azeroths could look like. We already know of one where Aedeleas Blackmoore is a tyrant and rules Lordaeron. But what of another where the Horde won the Second War? What about an AU where Arthas never became a Death Knight?

There’s a TON of storytelling possibilities that can give us time with characters that are now long dead. Characters like Antonidas, Anduin Lothar, King Llane, Orgrim Doomhammer etc.

Farahlon is also in the lore. It was the capitol area of the Primals and what later became the Netherstorm.

Yes, but I didn’t mention it in this thread because it’s part of the same continent.

I am curious how the environments and biomes would be different from the Draenor we have seen.

I do not think they would expand Draenor… but, I could see Light Corrupted Draenor as a final patch zone like Argus was for Legion when we finally take on the Yrel army of Light Slaves and whatnot. My bet for that expansion would be the bulk of its leveling would be an Eastern Kingdoms revamp and would feature the Scarlets again.

Draenor was already falling apart in a time accelerating realm. Might be small enough to make a zone on Azeroth.

An idea I had would be the Lightbound somehow bringing AU Draenor to the main timeline. Basically sending the planet into a portal and bringing it to a location close to Azeroth. Draenor would be visible from Azeroth.

The Mag’har recruitment scenario kind of closed the door on WoD stuff in a somewhat spiteful way, honestly. Some of the only bright spots of the expansion were the zones and the characters we made friends with, and thanks to that scenario, canonically all those zones are likely dying or ruined, and all our friends are either dead or crazed zealots we’ll need to kill.

I really don’t want to go back and need to kill Soulbinder Tuulani as she rants about the Light and tries to convert me.

She could be part of the Draenei resistance against Yrel.

Tuulani specifically isn’t really the issue, it’s more that they poisoned the well and ruined a great setting and characters for shock value. Draenor had a ton of unexplored potential and most of the characters we quested with were good, then they corrupted and destroyed all of that for no good reason. We can never go back and see more of the cool stuff in Spires of Arak or Frostfire or whatever because they’re light-scorched wastelands now. Reshad’s probably dead, Maladaar’s probably evil, etc.

Speaking of WoD leveling having good characters, Thaelin’s not affected by the above because he’s a Dark Iron and so wasn’t on Draenor when Blizzard ruined it, but I wish he did more after WoD. He shows up every now and then but like I’d like him to be a bigger character. I like him.
