I have a feeling there will be more changes to his fights and make it easier (no doubt) especially for normal and LFR and story mode. And I think there will be more changes for both heroic and mythic as time goes by. And I hope by the time the two expansions later I hope they will nerf the fight for soloing by shutting down many group required mechanics and change the fight as a whole and make it solo friendly by then.
They usually throw a bone out as the expansion progresses because they do ultimately want groups wholyheartedly trying to the seasonals goals (AoTC/CE) to get em. Even the raiding reputation tier gives pretty big player power.
why would you think that? is it because every raid, ever, gets nerfed bit by bit over the course of an expansion?
Ion said that this is exactly what is going to happen. Question is when. According to Raider Dot IO, 45 teams have defeated Dimensius and teams 46 to 81 are on Phase 3. Teams are still active with very few waiting a day or more.
As for Story Mode raid, it is easy once you see the three tricks.
- You have to be in Dragon Flying mode and get on your dragon at the end of Phase 1 when Xala’tath says she’s got you. You then have to surge toward the circle. If you don’t do this you will fall off your dragon and wipe. Once you start flying, avoid the white beam and fly though the hoops like any dragon race.
- In Phase 2 stripes appear on the ground. You have to run perpendicular to the stripes to the edge where there are no stripes.
- When that boss dies turn toward dimensius, hop on your dragon and fly though the hoops again. There are two bosses in Phase 2 that are P2.1 and P2.2 so after the first, wash rinse and repeat.
Once you get to Phase 3 you just blast away at Dimensius until he is dead. All the mechanics that trip up Heroic and Mythic are just cosmetic for story mode.
I mean, come on.
I’m pretty sure that this boss is intended to be confused and unaware of its past actions. We shouldn’t be surprised. remember
don’t quiz him
don’t tell him about his memory
leave a lot of notes
Does not need changes at all
Yep, normal is fine as is. This fight is actually really well designed if you’re in a coordinated group. LFR needed the nerfs because half or more of the raid is headless chickens.
