I remember on the old forums, there was a Gnome who fought for a while for Gnomes to be a Demon Hunter. She had the transmog and all. So I say Gnome should be one at least. Though sadly I cannot remember her name.

Talked to them on Discord, they had this message to convey:

Can you mention in the thread we were talking about yesterday and that I still root for more demon hunters races. At the time I am just playing some other games right now and working on personal art projects, but I may be back sometime mid to late dragonflight.

They said they were looking into making it to where any race can roll any class but they had to work out the logistics of it first. Rogues, Mages and Priests don’t have logistics tied to them but classes like Shamans have racial totems, Paladins have racial mounts and Druids have racial animal forms.

The easiest way for many of these would to be allowing us to do something like what they do for taming. You go out in the wild and find a creature you like use the spell and that is now your druid form or new demon pet or demonic form. It doesn’t work for the racial mount or totems but those are a lot easier to create.

This would allow for more customization and it would provide more ever green content as every animal or demon would now potentially be used as more than just an enemy.

In my head-canon, Kayn Sunfury occasionally huffs soul ash and suggests new recruits to an exasperated Altruis the Sufferer (living up to his name here) mostly based on how funny Kayn thinks they’d look.

I would love Draenei and Orc Demon Hunters as long as they don’t do that annoying Allied Race Death Knight thing of making them different. Just make it so Illidan had a few select Orc and Draenei champions back in Burning Crusade and put them in the same starting zone.
