Night elves can’t be warlocks and yet are demon hunters.
IMO, Draenei and Nightborne are the two races that make the most sense to have it expanded to. They’re the races with the closest ties to - and the strongest reason to fight against - the Burning Legion and demons.
[edit] Orcs also work. To do it 2x2 Horde and Alliance, I’d probably expand it to Draenei and Void Elves for Alliance and Nightborne and Orcs for Horde.
Elves are literally the most popular race in this game. I don’t get the disdain for them being the main race.
Demon Hunters as NE/BE only makes sense.
That said. I totally wouldn’t mind Orc and Draenei DH with Fel Orc and Man’ari customizations respectively.

you answered your question with the first sentence. they’re the most popular races. there’s so many elves in this dang game. personally… i’ve gotten pretty sick of’em. also, they’re pretty scrawny i’d preffer to play as something with a bit more meat on their bones… in other words, orcs, draenei, and pandaren.
orcs and draenei men are muscly as all heck (plus, they’d probably get fel-orc and man’ari eredar skins. that’d be pretty cool) and pandaren…
well, that one’s more ‘just for me’ since i like’em in-general. also… there’s a monk-trainer on the peak of serenity, who said they always wanted to be a demon hunter (obviously a joke, but it got me thinkin) and there was the secret pandaren in the belf campaign in wc3.
(plus, i’d love to play a vengence dh pandaren, jumpin around… would be a blast! instead, i gotta play a snooty elf to go dh, and that’s no fun…)

Because no race should really be the main race. In a perfect world they would all be treated equally. If there is going to be a main race I’d expect it to be the most populous in lore. I personally don’t have any real disdain for elves. They simply don’t interest me enough to play one. It’s been that way since I started playing D&D almost 30 years ago.

I always felt it was a waste to come out with a hero class only open to two races. We only get hero classes like every 6-7 years and when one finally does come out they restrict it to only two races. Sad just sad.

If Shadowlands has taught us anything, it’s that the devs can write whatever new lore they want. It doesn’t have to make sense for any existing lore. I have no opinion on DHs getting more race combos, but using “lore” as the reason to block it…just doesn’t work anymore.

Even when there was lore for it people will still deny anything other than their own agendas. Keep denying it or get blizzard to change it.
This is one of my top five allied races I’ve been wishing for!

I…am very eeo. Now I will have a waiver of liability run through several lawyers to be iron clad, bullet proof and unbeatable in court.
so when them gnomes, orcs etc start blowing up in the process…taking me to court would be a waste of time lol.
