More Delves Please

Next steps:

“Classic Delves” A nice Deadmines themed Delve??? Yea, like right next to the classic dungeon entrance. And then a delve by most old content dungeon entrances (or at least in the zones they start in), until we have 153 new delves, muahaha!

Delve-specific gearing (so the M+ and Raid fans can relax a bit) that grants power in open world and delve content. (similar to PVP-specific gear/trinkets) So my “progress” is more about progress into delves and open world than it is broadly “progress” by ilvl alone. Then I can get some mythic track gear that doesn’t actually compete with M+ or Raid gear, because it’s primary benefit is within delves/open world content.

More SUPER-Bosses!!! I love Elvis, and I’m gonna cap him in ?? soon enough, but he can’t be the only mega-boss lurking around Azeroth begging to be challenged by a solo hero. More of them, Let’s go!!!

Not every delve needs to be “yet another creepy dungeon in a cave.” Delve does imply going into the ground, but they can use the format and branch out from it.

Here’s my idea: Each season use a different expansion’s zones. Start out with WoW Classic. Do an Elwynn Forest delve. Literally the delve is the entirety of Elwynn Forest minus Stormwind. Another for Ashenvale. Another for the Barrens etc. A variety of landscapes from all over. 8-10 per season. Next season do TBC. Or jump around. They don’t need to be done in order of the expansions although that is my preference.

The benefit to Blizz is they don’t have to completely redesign new maps each time around. They can just add important features to each map like ramps, caves, or new pathways and barriers that force or encourage players to move in a certain direction.

Use former world bosses as Delve bosses. Use the towns in some important way. Use the old questgivers as delve interactions. NPCs that gave us quests could now be the ones offering us puzzles to solve for buffs or loot.

This is nostalgia done right. It brings back things people enjoyed a long time ago but makes it more interesting while offering great rewards and an overall cool player experience.

Love it! More!

That sounds fun!

I’ll keep saying what I said when delves were announced.

Delves are 8 hours of content being stretched to last 60 hours.

Meanwhile the overworld continent is 60 hours of content being condensed into 8 hours.

…Just switch them.

More delves?
Yes please.
Delve gear for World content and delves.
I could go with that except; M+ and Raid gear is also good for Open World and Delves.
They split Pvp gear into BG/Arena and WPvp but didn’t cordon off M+/Raid always wondered why.
Personally I don’t really like the idea of needing numerous sets of gear if you do multiple things especially like PvP Bg/Arena and PvP World.

As a Delve enjoyer on all of my Warband toons (x8 T8’s for Weekly GV for all of my Warband toons), I do like the initial rewards from the chests. Sure, they may not be the “best of the best” but for Open World criterial type of gear that’s kinda in line with M+ gear, it’s pretty good. Can’t complain about initial 603 end of Bountiful Delve item level or 610 Bountiful Delve Map Hero gear.

The 616 Great Vault rewards from T8 and up are pretty solid just to keep your PvE toon juiced with Set pieces since just about every week, you either have a set piece or two in your GV OR if you don’t you have the chance to Catalyst it into a set piece at Hero quality from a Hero piece of gear from your GV that’s not a set piece. Pretty soon, you’ll start noticing your gear from Delves is actually contributing to your grind to develop your toons to partake in M+ or higher end Raid tier (Heroics/Mythic). Sure, you can go into M+10 and get your 623 weekly and be juiced from that, but also grinding Gilded crests still get’s frustrating when all you want to care or do is farm Gilded Crests. Well, personally, in Delves, If I can complete a 10-12 minute “speed run” in T8 Nightfall Sanctum and get x2 Ruined Crests per run, that’s pretty good vs trying to complete a M+8 for a few Gilded Crests in 35-40 minutes. I’m not trying to be overly maxed out past 619 gear score because that’s MORE than enough gear score to conduct any amount of content weather it’s Open World content to include Delves and Weeklies, M+ or Heroic Raiding.

I’m just really enjoying Delves right now and farming for crafting mats and crests isn’t bothering me one bit to jump into M+ or Raid this season. I’ve tested those waters, didn’t like the vibe and just stuck to what I like doing more and having fun at the same time.

In the future, for Season 2, I do hope we receive new gear items for Delves and possibly some much needed changes to Delve trinkets for the most part. Majority of them are no where in line with mid-high M+ and Heroic/Mythic Raid performance wise for most classes/specs while most of them are just plain C/D/E/F tier which C/D are “useable” while E/F Tier are not to be used only as a last resort. Very few Delve Trinkets make it to the -A/+B tier that are solid choices.

There’s plenty of Delves to choose from, though there are few Delves that are tolerable to “farm” for crests and gear while the underwater Delves are most likely the less desirable Delves to conduct.

Personally, I would rate these types Delves as from the most enjoyable to least enjoyable:

Humanoid/Spirit Themed
Spider/Web Themed
Mushroom/Spore Themed
Underwater Themed

lol, yea I think I’ve died to drowning more than any other thing.

Most likely S2 will bring more levels to delvs and prop give 616 gear from doing them with 623 from vault maybe

Honestly, Id love some Timewalking devles. Maybe hitting up some Orginial WC1 /WC2 / WC3 missions and turning them into devles via the timeways. So much potential.

I’d prefer more valorstones from delves than more delves.

And I wish this expansion would stop giving me trinkets!! Jiminy Crickets, even half my Great Vault loot is ephen trinkets!

Yes, more stones, more crests. Especially from the additional chests (bountiful and secret trove), they should both contain crests and stones as well.
