More customizability across the board

Brainstorming ideas for more customizability for all classes while staying true to theme and class identity. Note: I do not play some of these classes so what I’m suggesting might already be a thing and I don’t know about it.
So lets go alphabetically:
Death Knights

  • Ghoul customization in barbershop with the ability to collect undead forms from various old enemies.
  • The ability to glyph frost and unholy abilities to appear more blood-based and vice-versa
  • Actually transforming into a lich or other undead with Lichborne

Demon Hunters

  • More wing customizations, with different colors and tattered states
  • Option to have wings out at all times in place of a back transmog
  • More blindfold colors and options with different styles (maybe some bandana blindfolds)
  • More customizability for Metamorphosis forms for both Havoc and Vengeance in the barber

Druids

  • Mix and match customizability like the new balance customizations, but for Bear and Cat, additionally alternate Tree of Life forms for Resto with flowering branches for spring, snowy branches for winter, and brown and orange leaves for fall
  • Customizations for the default Zandalari boomkin skeleton as well as the Kul Tiran default skeleton
  • Armored claw options for Bear and Cat forms
  • Treant customizations for both Treant Form and Grove Guardians
  • A toggleable option sort of like Evoker’s visage that puts resto druids automatically into treant form upon healing
  • Options for bestial traits in base form like antlers, fangs, feathers, etc.
  • Glyph like Glyph of Stars but instead of an Astral appearance, tints the druid orange with a solar appearance

Evokers

  • Pants and shirts in dracthyr form
  • Option for hiding scales completely in visage form instead of having ugly scales on the scalp and forehead
  • More scale patterns

Hunter

  • More quiver back transmogs, more back pouch transmogs, more ammo bandolier transmogs, hip quiver transmog options for waist
  • Ability to holster various smaller guns/crossbows at waist
  • Customizing color of pet models with multiple appearances in the stable, potentially locking out rare options until you’ve tamed them
  • Glyph of Greater Proportion which makes your pet even bigger (tuned so pets that are already large like Clefthooves/Cloud Serpents do not gain as much as say a Bee/Bird)

Mage

  • New portal styles, like miniature dark portals, purple portals, fiery portals, etc. Unlockable by going around in the old world then customizable at a portal trainer.
  • Mage equivalent to the warlock green fire questline but for tinging all fire mage abilities with hints of blue
  • Same as the prior but for frost mage and intended to darken the ice to a darker blue and give it hints of midnight blue like the depths of a glacier

Monk

  • Zen Flight cloud color customizability as well as speed boosted to be equivalent to regular flight, no reason not to at this point since druids are going to have Dragonriding in travel form soon.
  • Glyph to turn Touch of Death into a lethal punch
  • Glyph to make humanoid targets bleed if Touch of Death fails to execute them
  • Option to have Brewmaster idle animations have them swaying as if drunk

Paladins

  • Glyph to make consecrate look like the one from Time Lost Battlefield in DOTI
  • Ability to customize Divine Steed at a Stable master to different levels of armored as well as the steed’s armor color
  • Way to change the summon animation for paladin steed mounts to have the paladin whistle and have the steed run by from behind then the paladin mounts with a jump, sort of like the dragonriding mount animation
  • Glyph to make Judgement more silver than gold

Priest

  • Glyph of Familial Apparitions, your Shadowy Apparitions take the form of your current target
  • Glyph of Power, your power infusion increases your target’s size and gives a golden aura
  • Customizability of Spirit of Redemption at a priest trainer or at the barber
  • Customizability of Shadowform at a priest trainer or barber, includes localization of the shadowform, such as restricting it to arms only, head only, etc.
  • Glyph of the Corrupted Mind, your mind control targets are covered in a haze of shadow, for player targets it looks like a priest’s shadowform

Rogue

  • Clear dripping poison effects on blades without weapon illusions
  • Let us transmog daggers into one-handed axes and swords, or give us more large dagger transmogs
  • Glyph of Exaggerated Feint, your feint makes you bend backwards in an exaggerated dodge
  • Glyph of the Shadowy Shroud, the radius of shroud is now tinted a shadowy purple
  • Glyph of the Poisoned Axe, Poisoned Knife throws a spinning axe instead of a knife
  • Glyph of the Crossbow, Pistol Shot and Between the Eyes now fire a handheld crossbow instead of a pistol

Shaman

  • Glyph of Judgmental Ancestors, when casting Ancestral Spirit on a deceased player a trio of their Ancestors dressed in robes surround their corpse, shaking their heads in disappointment.
  • Glyph of Swampy Rain, Occasionally frogs will spawn within Healing Rain, hopping around inside for the duration
  • Totem Customization at a Shaman Trainer, you should be able to customize basic totem design, how the element of the totem is displayed, as well as adornments such as leather beads, feathers, gold inlay, silver inlay, etc.
  • More Ghost Wolf forms, take a bunch of animals in-game, smack a glyph of stars+astral shift effect onto them and bam more forms. Or conversely, give us all the soulshapes from shadowlands as unlockable forms instead of relegating them to a toy.
  • Fire/Earth/Storm Elemental customization at a barber or shaman trainer, there are a dozen forms for each of these that we don’t have access to from the old world, let us have them by going back and getting them from those sources.
  • Glyph of Epitomized Ascendance, instead of transforming you into an Elemental Ascendant, Ascendance surrounds you in an aura of your Ascendance’s element.
  • Glyph of the Triplicate Shield, Lightning Shield causes the three shields from the initial cast effect to orbit you instead of only one

Warlock

  • More styles for Ritual of Summoning, basically Lock Closet customization
  • Glyph of Mirror Ritual, Ritual of Doom sacrifices your target and summons a soul mirror of them to subjugate, instead of a doomguard. (Same dmg output and abilities, just cosmetic.)

Warrior

  • Glyph of Seething Anger, You get so angry when enraged that your skin tints red
  • Glyph of Receptive Rage, Battle Shout causes all party members affected to also unleash Battle Cries of their own
  • Glyph of Acknowledged Pain, when Ignore Pain breaks, let out a cry of pain
  • Glyph of the Charging Leap, Charge makes you leap at your target, instead of charge from the ground.

Suggestions?

Warlock

Glyph of Metamorphosis- Cosmetic form only

Demons - More choice of demons with customisable Armor & weapons.

More fel / Void corruption in the appearance of the character models.

Priest:

  • Glyph to make Power Infusion look like the old Inner Fire spell animation.
  • Ability to change the color of holy spells to blueish-white instead of the default gold.
  • Glyphs for every individual past iteration of the shadow form graphic effects.
  • Glyph to completely remove the shadow form graphic effects.
  • Bring back the old shadow ravens glyph.

Druid:

  • Allow druids to acquire regular NPC animal models for shapeshift forms by “taming”/attuning to an animal.
  • Rename “Cat Form” to “Feral Form” and allow druids to be wolves, raptors, etc. in Feral Form.

Shamans:

  • Allow shamans to hide shields.
  • Glyph for an updated Chain Heal green lazer of yore.
  • More options to change our Ascendance forms.

Caster Classes/Specs:

  • Allow pure caster specs to hide their weapons.
  • Casting animations that fire spells from weapons.

Sometimes you can spot the odd requests to change paladin abilities into using the void or fel. :scroll::robot:

Returning the Saberon form for druids would be beloved, no beef from me if they can have Shirvallah explain her interest. :orange_book::robot:

That would be nice as well.

Maybe make wands relevant again, I dont know the last time I saw wands on a drop table.

I don’t know why they would put warlock minion options in the barber and then not do the same for DK minions, mage elementals, shaman elementals, and shaman Ghost Wolf forms. As I’ve said before, they should do all that and let Unholy DKs summon the skeletal-looking Maldraxxi and Mawsworn soldiers since they seem to be getting more Maw-related things in TWW (a talent in their Rider of the Apocalypse tree and the Four Horseman now ride Mawsworn horses).

I don’t think this would work on things like inanimate objects and models without visible lower bodies, plus would likely cause some visual clutter when used on larger models.

I’d also like to suggest that casters get the option to shoot spells from their weapons instead of just their hands, maybe except for evokers since shooting their magic from their bodies is part of their theme.

Yeah I guess that makes sense, I was just trying to make trainers relevant for anything again, just for flavor

Glyphs to change the visuals of the misty green spells to effects more appropriate to windwalker and brewmaster. Spinning crane kick for example could be white/blue with lightning in it for WW or a yellow/brown/orange beer suds for brewmaster (like many of the effects in stormstout brewery)

Visage transmog separate from Dracthyr transmog first. Because I don’t want my pants and chest transmog on my Dracthyr, and I’m not going naked in Visage.
