Any crafted shields would do.
Put them in leatherworking and blacksmithing.

Agreed. More crafts in general is a huge plus.
And one of them was engineering
They gave staves to enchanting. I’d like to see shields added to Blacksmith (and by extention the armorsmithing specialization) and bows added to Leatherworking. Engineer, or Blacksmithing or both should make unique arrows.

a caster and healer shield for BS to craft would be really nice to have while leveling.
yes, yes yes. this has always been a beef i had. not enough craftable shields!
would prob be a engineering or blacksmithing crafting area. shields have no place in leatherworking
You could put shields in leatherworking easily. Boiled and stacked leather is tougher than a lot of metals.
leatherworking has to many classes using it and specializations as it is
blacksmithing and engineering could use the bump in another area anyway
Its no different than blacksmithing making a sageblade. There should be reasons to pay the professions for their crafts.
Tailoring:
5>>>mage, priest, warlock, druid, paladin
+bags
+specialized bags
leatherworking:
4>>>shaman, rogue, druid, paladin
+armor kits for both melee and caster classes
blacksmithing:
2>>> warrior, paladin
+weapons
+shield spikes, weapon chain, counter weight
Engineering
pvp/pve use items
+weapon scopes
blacksmithing could use it the most to expand class use into shamans,
engineering could even use it to give the profession some sort of profitable item to stand on. but let’s face it. blacksmithing needs more outlets
Dynamite is making engineering a ton of money now.
And I’ve never tied a profession to a class in classic; I suppose that will change seeing the good BoP recipes from the supply crates.
My warriors were always leatherworking for black dragonscale gear because it was stylin’.

I think its more because we’re capped at 30. The price of dynamite is still good even on the pve servers.
