So first things first… I don’t have an arena partner. Mainly because I am not amazingly great at pvp (but i enjoy it) and I don’t like the attitude that players get about people that are still learning things. So no, I don’t arena for conquest.
With that being said, I’d still like to cap my conquest points regularly. But it’s brutally difficult to do sometimes. Basically… 8 conquest per 25 min game (won) is awful. =/
Woa… You spent an hour (depending on how much wpvp you got involved in) getting 1/4 of your conquest cap? Sounds super easy.
Oh wait… The pver just did two mythic + in that amount of time and already unlocked their chest… So by the time you unlock your chest the pver has done 2 mythics on 4 separate characters…
I think you need to redifine your definition of easy… Relative to pve the conquest grind really isn’t lol
WPvP will fill in the gaps for sure. The incursions will typically award 60 conquest. In addition they usually have a good amount of PvP going on so you are generally able to get a chest for 50 conquest . If you are lucky there will be a bounty to kill awarding an extra 30. The weekly awards 50 as well I believe. In addition because you are alliance against overwhelming odds pops on some weeks.
Having all this available makes it a whole lot less frustrating to play my alliance character as win rates on alliance can be really erratic.
You said you did two invasions? And also another case of a gamer not realizing just how long they play seriously time it next time. By the time you fly out to a region, slow mount walk everywhere it takes 20 minutes minimum for an invasion. Closer to 30 if you get involved in some wpvp… Half the point of doing it in warmode you know…

Unless they add back in PvP stats to gear casual PvP is not going to be equal or a more efficient way to gear. They’ve had too many issues with bots and such in the past.
At this point capping conquest is a nice little meta goal if you happen to enjoy casual PvP activities. The chest becomes pretty irrelevant pretty quick if you are not pushing rating anyway.
Get some bardings so mobs can’t dismount you, spec the War Campaign perk to be Swift Landing and blaze through it. If it takes you more than 20 minutes you either got unlucky with WPVP or you messed up.
Seriously dude, time it. By the time you run between each area and kill 10 mobs or collect all the azerite it takes pretty close to 20 minutes. Then if you spend anytime at all doing wpvp it’s close to 30. Hell whether you want to or not, half the time there is an enemy raid you have to wait for or avoid. It might be a little faster for druid with instant travel form and maybe when flying comes out.
Regardless. Mythics are also a race for the timer. Depending on what key you’re doing 30 minutes is an over estimate too.
Still pretty close to 2 mythics in the time it takes to get 120 conquest. Still doing 2 mythics on 4 characters before a pvper is capped on one (120X4 is only 480, still need to do something else). The grind is real man.
Why though? Why wreck something popular and make it more grindy? Why not just reduce the PvP grind? Hell not even to 1/4 to match pve. I’d take 1/2 lol… Any popular game out there doesn’t have a big af grind before you get a reward. You hop in and play anytime…
