I’ve been thinking a lot about the quality of life improvements in World of Warcraft, and one thing that stands out is the ability to summon players. Currently, only warlocks have this ability, which feels quite limiting given the scope and scale of the game.
Blizzard has already designed a new portal with a theme that fits evokers perfectly. Timeless Scroll of Summoning. Wouldn’t be mad if rogues could kidnap raid members from across Azeroth either.
- Availability Issues: Sometimes, you simply don’t have a warlock in your group. This can delay activities and cause unnecessary hassle. Expanding summoning abilities to more classes ensures that groups are not dependent on the presence of a single class to function efficiently.
- Summoning Stones Are Not Efficient: While summoning stones are an alternative, they can be just as time-consuming. Often, players need to leave the raid, travel to the stone, and coordinate with others to summon a person. This process can be cumbersome and time-wasting
- Respects Players’ Time: It’s frustrating when 10-20 people are waiting for one player to arrive because there’s no warlock available to summon them. Whether it’s a last-minute raid invite or helping a friend who’s stuck somewhere, having multiple classes that can summon players can alleviate these frustrations. More summoning options would mean less waiting around and more time enjoying the game.
- Supports PuG Groups: This change would particularly benefit Pick-up Groups (PuGs), where the composition can be unpredictable and often lacks a warlock. Expanding summoning abilities ensures that PuG groups are not hindered by the absence of a specific class, making group activities smoother and more enjoyable.
I believe adding summoning abilities to classes like evokers, mages, or even priests would make the game more enjoyable and accessible. Let’s encourage Blizzard to respect our time and enhance our gaming experience by providing more summoning options!

Yes, they should definitely brings remix sum scrolls into retail.
Let’s be honest with ourselves here. 9 times out of 10, a lock sum is gonna be far more in demand and useful than a mage port. Now when we consider that mage ports have basically lost all meaning due to the billion and one ways players can port all over azeroth now (plus there’s multiple class that can port now), it’s high time locks are treated in a similar manner.

Agreed. They gave HeroLust to everyone and their brother. If were going to share. Lets have everyone share.
I’m pretty sure I could get from anywhere in the game world to a raid in less than 4 minutes.
Warlock summons have the sole niche of being somewhat useful in normal and heroic raid pugs, and that is pretty much it.
I’d rather Blizz kept more unique things to different classes than sharing them.

Great idea honestly. I don’t see why mages couldn’t, see as how they can “teleport” , as long as the player is in the major city, that would be cool if they could do that. Or even a profession that allows summons, like engineering or something.
lets give it to evokers. have it use bronze dragonflight magic be the way its done. the flavor text would explain it as speeding up their time so that there at the point where they already ran there but it would still end up as being summoned for us the playerbase. i barely see warlocks this xpac so having more ways to summon would make pugs so much better. nothing like joining a raid mid way and being told run cause theres no summon

I don’t think that you need to build a case, though you did a fine job of it. The issue is obvious but, maybe the designers like that a class has something special to offer. Personally, your plea to respect player’s time fails for me because time spent is part of the game, waiting is okay because that is when you talk to each other, anticipation is great. For the bulk of the player base, I think that wasting time is the whole point to diving into WoW.
An Engineering item with a long CD that allows summoning has always seemed a no-brainer.

raises hand i agree with more summoning abilities coming to other classes or even items like a scroll in remix, however most players I’ve come across can’t be bothered flying that 10 second flight to the raid or dungeon and do something like
“SUMMON” x 1220292020393
I for one would like to see all summons removed from the game for a week and see The anger in response
More classes should also have Mage ports.

getting tired of players trying to homogenize everything… why can’t classes just be unique?? next thing I read monks want portals…
They should add it to a second class and a second class only: Death Knights.
I would love this IF they did away with the silly requirement of having 3 people to summon 1 person.
What i would prefer is that Using the scroll would be 1 player opening a mage portal and summoning another player. thats it. no 2nd or 3rd player needed to click on the portals.
and personally id rather it be an item than a spell for other classes.

Mages 100%. It’s just a reverse portal really.
Evokers too, bronze magic covers that.
Lorewise, I don’t see any others classes, but engineering should certainly get something.
