its about changing our culture and change view of thinking. We are see it in books, movies/TVs and ect. its not going, if you go against the machine, you will be destroy. Its time for all of us to fight back which lot people are. Its time for Blizzard to remind them they serve us, not 1% woke crowd, not Bobby and even not Communist county like China.

Twitter should ignored, they’re bunch of activist and bots that’s like talk about Trump and Republicans. Trump basically broke them completely.

Never trust the government they’re part of the problem. What Blizzard needs a good slap in face multiple time and them no, we don’t want this and what you’re doing is bad and you should fired over this.

Thus why I said “continues.”

:joy_cat:
Sure
that’s it.
Can’t believe how many people liked your hilarious comment.

We can ignore Twitter, but not the influence those people have on this game.

I think they locked Ion in the basement with Chilton

In the case of the Badlands quest, if you take the blood elf, Martek implies he knows the hot babe is a dude

As absurd as that is, it is starting to sound plausible.

I still think it’s just extremely out of touch leadership. This is hardly the first large company to suffer from this and go down in flames.

This isn’t the first thread to mention the subject of Maximillian and what the character is a reference to.

I don’t understand the reasoning behind changing “damsel in distress” to “town citizen in distress.”

According to the dictionary, damsel doesn’t really have any negative connotation associated with it.

This is a fantasy game with castles and dragons and knights
I feel it takes a bit away from the fantasy, and inundates us with political correctness.

I just feel this game might not be for me, any longer. Been here on again off again, on many accounts, for 16 years.

I’m sure a lot of work went into Shadowlands–but it’s just not as fun as other expansions
and the community is becoming too polarized.

I want my game back. I used to log in and spend hours in Azeroth doing different things.

Now, I log in–see Huokan spamming trade chat, nobody else speaking, get depressed that I can’t enjoy Maximillians’ silliness, and log back out.

I want the WoW of old. :sparkling_heart:

It not be a first.

Part of the Konami/Kojima drama was the tin foil floating around was MGS5 was supposed to bomb. Make enough to not be a massive loss (business after all
need to make some kind of money), but
yeah die.

General consensus was they wanted out of pc/console gaming to be more (like all) pachinko.

Enter MGS5
smashed records, gained awards and the fan base loved it.

So then they released that survival mode game after. that, yeah
had them on this path better. And the loss they didn’t want. and
crapped the brand name lol.

Which for them worked out. Its not like your average pachinko parlor visitor will care about that. They want those small little metal balls.

For the non japan based folks Japanese play games not unlike a slot machine that gives out varying amounts of metal balls. Pachinko in a nutshell. the machines tend to be themed around anime, famed game franchises and such.

It almost feels like that.

The Maximillian quests in particular are literally mocking notions of chivalry and therefore sexism.

So either they employ people who failed every English class in High School and beyond for an inability to think critically about texts (wouldn’t surprise me given their lore for the past 6 years), they have people self-sabotaging because there is no review or group agreement required for these changes and some people are angry so piling on non-sensible changes, OR they are runs finger through lips rapidly up and down out of it.

I mean I don’t know how to classify the thinking that gets you to arrive at the conclusion that the Maximillian stuff is a problem. I say this as someone who has at least a passing familiarity with second wave feminism and writing, and even some Marxist feminist stuff.

I am baffled by what is happening here. I can only assume that this whole thing in fact is a puritan drive disguised as feminism and the removal of Maximillian proves it because who but puritans who believe in chivalry would be upset by chivalry being mocked?

I think we’ve solved the case. It’s not feminism, equality, removing misogyny. It’s about imposing a puritan regime against sex, fart jokes, and mocking of puritans of course.

yep
seems legit

This is genuinely funny because the Maximillian quests were a satire that made fun of the damsel in distress tropes found in fantasy storytelling. I typically laugh when people say that the developers don’t even play the game, but this one makes me pause. They just felt the need to edit a quest that was already pointing out that the damsel in distress trope is outmoded buffoonery.

Like I’ve said in other threads
I get why they made some of the recent changes. I really do. But then there’s things like this that make me scratch my head. I can’t say it bothers me, but it does confuse me. I think that a lot of these alterations are knee-jerk reactions with almost no forethought and little more. They see certain things on the surface and react to them when there’s actually something deeper involved. Satire is apparently beyond their comprehension.

he’s a lawyer and knows better since these people cant be reasoned with. it’s “do this or i’ll have you canceled!”

I thought it was just being silly. If they were trying to mock, they failed miserably. Of course you cannot actually make jokes what you don’t Love and understand.

I mean, facebook and twitter plays into these types of people and their playbooks really well. I think we need to just abolish facebook and twitter from these folks. See who listens to them then. Once you cannot amplify their voices, suddenly they become invisible. Just like these same types of people were in the 90’s and earlier years. No one wants to listen to moron’s.

But yah, if you say anything they disagree with, they will just cancel you. Block you as well from talking to them. They all hide on twitter and facebook to.

Less of them of course, but they are louder.
