Am I the only one who thinks Blizz should have made a cheaper or more easily obtained alternative to the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur? it could just be a multi person mount with a different color. A lot of people love the aesthetics of the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur but either couldn't afford it or couldn't justify the huge cost at the time.

Would need to be roughly equivalent to the price it would have been ingame if you had bought it with tokens.
Honestly I’d be ok with that. putting it in the store it would give people an alternative way to get it, and it would be another cash cow for Blizz.

Should be $60.
Auction house usage requests are triggered, which requires more servers to be updated. Only half of the people using the brontosaurus are humans, and the other half are scripts. Script requests can drain server resources.
But as long as you have money, everything is not a problem, is it?
Breaking the tradition of not selling functional props? I don’t think they care.
Brutosaur started out as a pay to win mount. Buy gold buy mount. Still is a pay to win mount. Buy gold buy bmah boxes. So making it a true pay to win mount only makes cents for blizzard.
That was about $800 at the time, based on the token gold value.
How many people are willing to drop $800 vs $40?
If the goal is to bring in more money, a lower price would mean more sales.
Judging by how many store mounts I see vs Brutosaurs, Blizzard would make MUCH more money by putting it in the store vs hoping players buy enough tokens to buy one in-game.

But I know at least one person who paid for it, and they said it was about $800.
I mean if it’s just a dino mount with no NPCs attached, I guess. But then again why would anyone want that?
I would, just to have a sauropod mount. I could not care less about the AH function.

The youtube video they did on trading post had them talking about putting a recolor of this in there one month.

No it did not…and no it was listed as a limited time mount either…stop making up lies…you seem to forget that exp WoD and Legion made tons of gold for most players if they did the mission boards…knows it did for me…and the only time I brought tokens was early on when first introduced too the game to pay for my sub back then cause that saved me real money to pay for my sub which was on a very tight budget till I started to get my SS…when tokens hit 80,000 and higher I stopped buying them for my sub and went back to real cash to pay for my sub.
Who is buying your teeth?
No, during beta and during most of the expansion, people thought it would be like the yak mount in MoP: expensive, but you could get it later by saving up gold. It wasn’t until towards the end of the expansion that Blizzard decided it would be a BfA-only mount.
