More Bear Forms

No, this is not another mage tower form post.

I’d like to advocate for more bear forms in the sense of changing the skeleton.

For instance, I’d love a legit polar bear that walked and moved and attacked like a polar bear instead of the same bear cutout.

Id like a mini bear like a honey badger who dgf.

Any other animal forms y’all have an interest in? I feel like we should have a lot more forms with Druid being an OG class after all this time.

OP they won’t give allied races an original skeleton. I wouldn’t hold my breath for druid forms.

There are regular polar bears in the game. There are lots of natural animals in the game that could be druid forms. They don’t all have to be Disneyfied cutesey cartoonish forms.

That is the Vulpera druid bear form.

I think they should give druids back the Saberon and manasaber forms.

The giant armored flame cat form that Fandral Staghelm shifts into should be a tank form that drops from him in Firelands.

The flame cat is already a cat form you can get, give us the scorpion as a bear option.

I want a Pangolin Bear form.

I want the Incarnation skin bear form as a full time thing.

LET ME PUT ARMOR ON MY BEAR,
*and maybe a shield on the back Okami style

Lets have that Dragon were-Dragon/ Crocodile with wings, that is on the Cash shop mounts, as a Bear form option.

do more werebear recolors. i would like purple fel markings for werebear. and it would be the perfect time too since DH is getting that new range spec that is all purple.

and umm throw in a few of those other werebear shaped creatures that have been added to the game as options too.

The last time they gave out new Bear forms was during Dragon Flight (along with the other Druid forms), so it hasn’t been that long.
Having said that, The Last Titan (being set in Northrend) would be the ideal time to introduce a polar bear form.

I like a smaller bear with comically large, shiny eyes.

But if we start including small forms then those darn gnomes will start asking for druids (it’s me, I’m that gnome who has been asking for this)

How about a dancing bear that plays accordion while it tanks and wears a comically small fez?

Druid forms don’t have to be fitted for armor. Literally all they have to do is take one of the dozen or so animals they add in every patch and put it in the barbershop.

Every other class gets new looks every patch. Why should druid have to settle for only getting new looks every three expansions or so?

As someone mentioned early, the scorpion form that Fandral uses in FL would be sick and the animations are already there with him and hunter pets/wild mobs.

The polar bears from the Azure Span in Dragonflight would make great bear forms, especially the ones with crystal shards protruding from their backs.

The elemental furbolg forms from Dragonflight would also work well. There’s a boss in a Midnight dungeon whose attack and swing animations are already identical to the werebear’s, so it wouldn’t be difficult to adapt them into a playable form.

Personally, I’ve wanted a Volibear style form (from League of Legends) for a long time: upright on hind legs during combat with significantly improved attack animations, but dropping to all fours while moving. Something that really sells the idea of a magical, primal bear man.

Nalorakk, the bear loa boss from Midnight, would also make an excellent bear form. His armor looks really cool!

I would also love to see the original dire bear form from Vanilla and TBC return, updated with an HD facelift and a much wider variety of fur colors. The original bear form just looks so mean and ferocious.

Someone over in that other thread suggested that every single Druid-capable race should have it’s own “hulkbear” form:

I think it’s a great idea, always nice to have more flavor with the different races

It’s not like it would be too much work either, only ~7 new hulkbear models would need to be slapped together by the art team (1 for each Druid-capable race). The “skeleton” and animations would be the same, just the race-specific paintjob over it would be different
