Moratorium on Multi-Boxers in SL

I was literally just farming in Suramar earlier today. I didnt even see another player, let alone a boxer, lol.

same here. Like literally never.

what ‘problem’ is that ?
Ive already posted their statement page on boxing that was updated weeks ago that says boxing isnt going anywhere.

I have seen a multi-boxer doing this on my server. All of the toons (about 5 minimum) following them are boomkins and they are all in a guild named after the toon they are following. I’ve usually only seen them gathering herbs or mining, but when I decided to level a vulpera a few months back they were in a certain portion of Nazmir with about 15 other boomkins (all same guild) spread out and pulling everything. I could barely get a tag in to finish my quest. I did report them, but I saw their pack a week ago porting to Zandalar.

I play ESO and I can guarantee you they wouldn’t have taken away my waterstrider’s ability! LOL

Hold it, is this leveling zones or leveling sl?

I love ESO as a game system. Its the role playing aspect…BORING races mostly…that kills it for me. Not to mention the load times are much longer than wow. Im running two decent SSDs and it still takes longer than one would expect a game to take to load.

I always report anyone griefing or botting, for certain.

I have never seen this happen. How were you disrupted?

My concern is the current behavior of MB’ers is targeting levelling zones now. The goal of this thread is to advocate for ensuring that behavior doesn’t happen in SL. I hope that clears things up. Thanks for the question!

As a multi boxer, I have even a better ideal for the OP…

  1. A limit a person can ask for farmed materials not to exceed 200% of vendor price. If you botter AH rip off artists want to play games, I’ll start these type of threads every day I see a new anti multi boxing thread. :innocent:

With most, from what I seen, farming isn’t going to disturb leveling in any of the farming zones,One you have to open each zone you can just run to them as a race so they can’t even got them plus it would be pointless deaths of the toons.

Personally I’ve never been stopped by ‘boxers.’
When I see the typical pack of boom-druids, they’re farming trash in areas with high respawn. On the off chance i actually need one of those mobs (which is rare), they come back nigh-instantaneously.

If they want to do that, they’re welcome to whatever they get out of it.

To be honest, at release the problem is generally the SHEER NUMBER of players. For example in WoD garrisons were blocked because people stood on NPC, just way too many people on the NPC.

Zoning tends to fix most issues. Some quests might block a bit, but unlikely to be too serious, and probably multiboxers will be a trivial cause of any issues. At launch I’ve maybe seen 1 multiboxer in 3-4 launches in the first 3 weeks.

It was a PvPer and we just peeled his dudes out so they were spread out/stuck on terrain and killed the loose ones.

Plus, use them to kill your mobs .

Great question. It has happened 3 times in the last week.

  • Carver’s Harbor in Drustvar - two MBers were farming quillrats for blood-stained bones. Nobody could kill anything as they were tagging mobs almost as soon as they spawned.
  • Venture Bay - 3 MB’ers were farming cloth and transmogs, one posted in each of the three buildings and killing mobs as soon as they spawned.
  • Suramar - there are too many spots to enumerate them all, suffice to say on any given day there are mb’ers taking out mobs I was trying to use to level.

Hope that helps, and thank you for the question.

This alone is wrong you can’t farm them anymore. They fix that a month ago,you are now lying.

Good call. Thanks for the tip, and I’m happy to agree to disagree.

I’m just more confused now.

The quillrats I’ve seen for myself. Just leveled my last alliance alt through that area yesterday. I had zero problem getting kills- it was easier than normal due to their ‘fire support’

Suramar I’m just baffled by. You were leveling in legion areas by killing… mobs?
I typically go 100-111 in a couple hours just by doing the area quests in less than half the zones.

You bet. I would hate to see you go because of that

since when is drustvar a starting zone?
And guy…ive STOMPED multiple players over there who irritated me by tagging everything they wanted over and over and not skinning.

yeah…its called ‘competing for resources’.
sorry…either of those starting zones? I must be confused or something…

so you mean ‘leveling zones’ as in…ANYWHERE you are in the game now?

I never said the MB’er was particularly good at being an MB’er. I was just saying they were killing the mobs I needed to level as soon as they spawed.

You referred bloodbones they the quillrat don’t give them any more ,why would any one farm for nothing?
