There’s a post on reddit about how Xelnath designed the MoP warlock with help from commited warlock players. I personally loved the class and affliction was my favorite.
…did anyone NOT like MoP Warlock?
Does Blizz still reach out to players to help guide class design?
I didn’t like getting completely demolished by warlocks in pvp on the holy priest I was maining at the time. Seemed like every damn class and spec demolished me. Maybe I was undergeared… maybe not.
When a specialization is performing outrageously it feels really good to play. MOP’s Destruction Warlock is a perfect example of that. What is BFA’s “MOP Warlock” I wonder?
You saw what happened with Xelnath. He was very pro-active and publicly outspoken in his efforts and look where it got him. Rehiring him could do nothing but help this game but I don’t foresee that happening.
It wasn’t just locks, my shaman was so good in MOP, best I ever played.
And not because of casting on the run (which was great , no doubt about it) - it was just huge fun to play all around and I felt powerful, as any and all classes should feel.
