That’s hilarious that they are doing MoP surveys when Cataclysm hasn’t been supported at all. An unsupported MoP phase 1 will be terrible in 2025 with how the game is played now. I currently do not trust Blizzard with what they have shown in order to make the correct changes for MoP to be actually playable (hint: they won’t make any). Aggrend and his team have failed Cataclysm classic and this will show when the numbers for MoP are terrible and the panda bundle doesn’t sell like previous bundles have. Aggrend will probably take his yearly vacation again before MoP releases just like he did with Cataclysm.
bliz never realy care about use ur just lie to ur self if you think that were being treated like they treat pvp and mop was way beter then cata to must time was given to the world revamp to make it a good xpac
Sorry to burst your bubble but neither Cataclysm nor Mists of Pandaria can be considered “classic.” Currently, the only classic aspect of Cataclysm is the poor treatment of the player base. Blizzard has seemingly disregarded the World of Warcraft player base for over 15 years.
Is there even such thing? LMAO if so… what a joke.
I’d argue it’s the other way around.
The original MoP was perfectly playable as it was. The problem is modern ActiBlizz can’t be trusted not to break it.
If I get a survey I’m voting no because based on cata I don’t even want it. They haven’t done anything for cata. They won’t do anything for mop either.
The last balance patch is pretty terrible and would need some fixing. I’m pretty big on alts and the reputation / legendary quest line could use some more alt friendliness. I guess if you don’t care about balance or the original tedium of creating an alt that the game would be perfect for you.
Sounds like a YOU problem. Imagien if blizz just released the games with only proper class balances and bug fixes. That is was most players want.
The surveys are bugged anyway. I got my 1st survey in 20 years of playing Blizzard games and when i finished answering all the questions and submitted it simply said thanks the input but we don’t need anymore additional data.
I suppose we all have different ideas, perspectives, opinions and preferences.
I’m enjoying Cata Classic as it is now, and haven’t particularly noticed much in the way that would impact gameplay negatively.
I was under the impression that Cata Classic would have a lot of changes, almost an effort to transform it into a Cata version of what many have described as Classic+ but that sure has not been the case. I don’t know where I may have read what to have had that impression.
Anyway, I have tried to give Retail a shake, and it just doesn’t appeal to me. Maybe I prefer the simplicity of older times.
I do like that Cata has Arenas, and am hesitant to get back into Classic Era, etc. due to an extreme dislike of being force grouped with teammates that throw games in PVP Battlegrounds.
While I do find arenas to be compelling, repeatable, and very interesting end-game gameplay, I have no plans nor desire to continue past Cata Clssic into MoP.
Currently, I plan to continue enjoying Classic, and if they offer a fresh start Classic cycle, TBC or Wrath Classic servers, to ply that whenever it happens. Otherwise maybe another offering, another game, private servers, or just focus on something else other than WoW when Cata ends.
For me, this has nothing to do with maintenance, upkeep or any level of support, but rather content and gameplay, and to a relatively large extent (for Classic at least) community management.
As a hunter, you’ll find the most game breaking thing is that you’ll likely be forced (at least in a 10M) to play MM for Shannox in FL to break face rage reliably. If they didn’t do the final patch tuning for the entire classic experience of each expansion, MM would not be in such a state of turmoil. During Firelands in Original Cata, MM was really solid with Survival overshadowing it around the release of Dragon Soul.
Final patch tuning is a terrible idea, it does not give the same experience that you would have had during the OG retail version of each individual patch. Tuning makes a big difference in how each class plays, what specs they can play to remain competitive, etc.
100% its sad but atleast you have a spec that is able to compete unlike Feral DPS in OG cata Feral was amazing now we are F tier damage!!!
Well, to be fair, this is not unique to Cata, and was not a consideration for my reply to this thread.
I’d like to experience patch progression with the Classic series also, but that doesn’t impact my preference for wanting or not wanting to move into MoP.
