MOP Remix: Status Update #3 (Final)

Level: 70
Class: Windwalker Monk
Cloak stats:
+249 Agility
+2466 Stamina
+177 Critical Strike
+188 Haste
+161 Leech
+239 Mastery
+286 Speed
+240 Versatility
+132% Experience Gain

Time played: 19 hours

How leveling feels: Got faster, then a little slower: 10-50 in 12 hours, 51-60 in just 2 hours, but 61-70 in about 5 hours. I think a lot of this was me doing only questing, no dungeons, and having to do a lot of travel in between Zones.

Zones completed: Jade Forest, Valley of Four Winds, Kun-Lai Summit, Part of Townlong Steppes

How fighting feels: Hit and miss, literally. Sometimes I’m bulldozing through packs of mobs, but sometimes just 1-2 normal mobs have me fighting for my life.

Overall impression: The nostalgia tour of it is very satisfying to me, but I’m going to be honest: not sure I’m going to bother leveling any alts. Might just focus on my main and farm bronze until I have bought everything I want.

Suggestions: I have to swap out gear and gems a lot as I get upgrades, and that feels awkward and gets in the way of the adventure. Would much rather pick up automatic items like threads that bring your gear up to max ilvl for your player level. I would also strongly suggest that anyone going MOP Remix get a leveling addon. Can’t stress what a time-saver that was for me.

Grade: A- overall but still room for improvement with regard to gear and inventory management while leveling, subjective player power, movement speed, and leveling speed. There seems to be a bell curve where you start slow and putzy, get faster and more powerful, then slow back down as you approach 70; and as with past expansions, as you approach max level, there is a sense that you’re weaker, not stronger.

I think this content is fine. I’m only in my 20s right now, but I can’t see this content last 90+ days for me at this point. Then gems are interesting, but just a paint to switch out as I level. And I’d rather just be able to vendor old gear to the bronze that mess with that silly thing you have to summon and put you old gear in to.

I’m also seeing that it may be easier to level alts to get the bronze you need to buy the mounts and other stuff. I guess it takes a lot of bronze to upgrade your gear at 70.

I’m torn. Right now there hasn’t been any comparisons between regular alt leveling and Remix alt leveling so depending on what shows will be the route my alts go.

The cloak stats seem drastically low for a level 70 to rely on for a main source of stats.

I switched to only doing heroic dungeons and normal raids. My XP is at 293% I believe. Just got the ring from doing all the heroics, about to do the scenarios. Level 64. Did vault at 25, and all the other raids on normal except tot and soo.

175 int, 1511 stam, 136 crit, 156 haste.

Total time 14 hours. Not sure how much was afk time. Couple hours probably.

It’s all about doing normal raids the moment you can. I wouldn’t bother with questing until 60-70 so you get more threads from doing them.

This is identical to how I feel.

Personally going for golden elegon, DK/hunter mop sets then done.

I’d say smash through each raid and scenario and you’ll have collected enough things to be overpowered. But I can’t yet determine whether I feel it was worth it

Having hit ultimate power 12 on my first time runner the second character I created today is stupidly overpowered.

Your assessment is kinda lacking since you did not address group content and the wacky scaling in there.

Also, mastery-based specs are OP in this since it gets double budget for some reason.
If that’s not your case, you’re not that strong based on tinker slots alone.

Again: for the first character, 25-45 (Arguably up to 60) is the best part.
You feel strong and the game feels fun, with some scaling issues sprinkled around.
Outside of this level range, it’s a complete mess, and you feel useless and a liability to groups at 70 for a long time.

The first alt after Infinite Power 12 should be a much better experience, while still being much less than expected, power wise.

How can you see the stats on the cloak?

If you hover your mouse cursor over the infinite time reaver icon in the top right you will see them displayed

Thank you

It gets faster the more alts you do. My husband has levelled 10 I think and ita now taking less than 6 hours per alt. I think 4 or 5.

You’re very welcome, Miss Of The Blade
