Mop Remix isn't what I expected?

Can you do instanced content as horde & alliance just like in retail? Thinking maybe making a Belf pally for this

As far as I know the rules are the same.

I’m leveling a Vulpera Warrior. I figure this is a good way to get the Heritage Armors I don’t already have.

Dude, yes. That’s genius! Especially with expedited leveling.

Yes it is.

Good thing all my cata levelers need rested xp stays in inns.

It means I can binge mop remix to 20 this quick lol.

I think we just have to wait until the event ends and the characters move to retail to do the Heritage Armor questlines since we can’t leave Panda Land until then.

Oh gotcha, good call

Of course they didn’t. We’re talking about people who believed that it was going to be Classic Mists who wanted questlines added back in, the legendary added back in, old Vale of Eternal Blossoms, etc.

And people don’t read the article that explains it.

So far you’re mostly correct. The dragons tell us when we start that we cannot change the past and that we’ll be basically be doing the same things as we did the first time we played MoP, although I dislike some of the restrictions like not being able to send any gold or items to my Timerunner and how mail doesn’t seem to work at all; I discovered that when I tried to send a Warlock the Mana Potions that I obviously can’t use as a DK. Luckily we were able to use Trade, so they got them and I got them out of my inventory. I don’t mind not being able to create and use heirlooms, but I do dislike how rare gear is so far. I just hit 20 and got my shiny, brand-new August Phoenix mount which I love, so that’s cool.

Of course, virtually no one has already reached level 70 in Remix yet. There may be some differences in the story and/or dungeons and raids in later levels because the Infinite Dragonflight might intentionally or unintentionally screw something up, so we can’t really say it’s gonna be the exact same thing quite yet, although perhaps some data miners have already discovered that I am wrong.

I enjoyed MoP when it was released, but I’ve not really messed with it since the expansion ended. I definitely forgot how beautiful the zones are, how great the music is, and that MoP was a pretty enjoyable experience. I hope that three months is enough time; I would hate to miss out on all of the awesome items, the armor sets, weapons, and mounts in particular, because evil bills demand that I work and they won’t accept any mana potions in lieu of cash.

But so far I am enjoying the Remix despite my few minor complaints written above, and I hope that they do more of this sort of thing in the future. I’d happily play a TBC, Wraith, Legion, Warlords Remix, no doubt.

I’m constantly setting myself on fire, blowing people up with ice, and becoming a yak

I did not do these things in original MoP

It isn’t what I expected either.

I though we would be using different abilities/talents as opposed to the usual ones.

I am still having fun though as I am doing the Horde side, which I haven’t done before, and playing a spec I don’t remember trying before. I may even keep the throw away character I made for it after I am done completing the cloak to access Ordos, which was the point of me doing the mode.

My only real disappointment, other than the cloak content not being added back in, is the before-version of the Vale of Eternal Blossoms is not available to view in this incarnation either.

That’s because the new deal is…

/moo :cow:

Will the cape let us do the big fire cow on the timeless isle eventually?

idk i think its just a tmog look till we get a blue to tell us more

I admit I haven’t gotten very far yet, but I really like the little inclusions of the infinite flight and stuff.

Gameplay has been pretty good too; my only complaint is that the tuning seems a little messed up in group content. I noticed healers can heal huge chunks, but the enemies are also doing huge amounts. Sometimes killing people before a healer spell can even go off. I hope this is just an early game problem.

From an interview discussing Pandaria Remix:

Will the legendary cloak quest chain be enabled?

The original legendary cloak questline will not be available. You’ll want to reach level 70 on a Timerunner and receive the legendary cloak appearances on your Cloak of Infinite Potential to enable access to Ordos for this event as well as the rest of your WoW account.
