I dunno why they changed it. Soul shards are yuck and I just want my green burning embers and actually useful Shadowburn back.

MoP class design as a whole was pretty solid. I truly miss MoP Lock… current Lock, even Shadowlands Afflic, just feels so dull, a game of keeping up shards and DoTs. Bleh.

It was TOO strong. Heals, tanks, top-notch ST and AOE damage, casting while moving… I mained Destro in MoP and it was the most fun I had in WoW, but it was completely overpowered.

I’m about to say a weird warlock thing but I didn’t like that it was tier 1 and played affliction in MoP instead. I always played Aff in BGs and destro PvE except during MoP. I would like more movement options, I took a lesser essence just to have an instant cast for movement beyond conflagrate.
Stop living in the past. Those days are gone.
MoP anything felt good. i played 4 classes consistently for various forms of content and they all felt great

MoP was soo good that cata in it’s wrost state had more players than mop in it’s better state.
Destro now is strong af. You’re a tank and it’s crazy.
MoP was a magical time to be a warlock main. AMAZING in raids, AMAZING solo class, had an ENTIRE CHALLENGE MODE QUESTLINE unique only to warlocks.
What a beautiful time to be a warlock. I miss MoP…

Burning embers, fun spells. A spec that used chaos bolt as it’s big damage but was not absolutely reliant on it. Now was mop destro savagely overpowered? Yes. It was too easy to deal huge damage in all situations and heal yourself forever. However numbers are only a part of feeling good. The spec has been boring and flavorless ever since
