Crafted my alchemist stone on my alchemist and didn’t get any new recipe same as my tailoring didn’t get any new recipe from crafting his daily silk imperial silk. People are also reporting losing those discovery/items once they’re crafting them.

Got 6 tailors, did 6 imperial silk crafts today, not a single recipe. Got 2 recipes yesterday, one was an epic as well, logged in to find them completely gone. On my main, got 2 leather working recipes, crafted them, sold one, and decided to make another piece, both recipes and gone…

Same issue, recipe from yesterday gone and no new learned from todays craft. GG.

i also lost both my LW recipes and i never even crafted them yet

I think this is deliberate. Those crafted recipes are not supposed to be available yet because they make obsolete the ilvl 450 ones you get from the recipes that you buy for Spirits of Harmony.

You think its deliberate that they allow you to craft a very expensive research that says it will teach you a new recipe and it doesn’t teach you anything instead? So that you essentially just waste hundreds or over 1000g of mats worth on a thing that doesn’t give you what it says it does?
I feel like that’s a pretty hostile and egregious design decision if this was intentional. You’d think they wouldn’t let you craft those things instead. That would seem like a design that actually has the players’ interests in mind, if they’re supposed to not give you what they say it does.
i and others have posts abouy this as well. alchemy no discoveries. tailor no discoveries. but here we are almost August…still no blue reply.

Update on my earlier comment: some of the JC research recipes are giving me new recipes (tested only with orange) but red doesn’t seem to do anything other than give me a couple gems and some scraps.

tried again today a week later and my alchemist got no discoveries on orange potions of luck. not to mention procs for alchemy spec does nothing still.
The ticket that I filed when first leveling my tailoring implied that the entire process of Discovering recipes (at least for tailoring, maybe some other professions) should not have been in the game yet at all, not just the recipes. The discovering comes to the profession when those pvp patterns are released.
