And for me, personally, this will be the end of the “Classic” line for me. Gutting the talent trees was a huge minus for me. I was not a fan of the Pandaria story line, nor the zones themselves. I’m not bashing on others that are excited for this; to a lot, MOP is their favorite.
Cata is…ok. I did enjoy the more streamlined approach to leveling, as they did away with the continent-hopping quests, as well as the needless mob grinding from time to time.
For me, it will always be the Big 3: Vanilla, TBC, and Wrath.
Beginning of MoP is where my last sub ended as well. I will see with Cata, maybe this time around it will end sooner. I’m still sour I could not get my SM because most everyone out there was only running GDKPs or reserving most of the good loot anyway.
I mean, they honestly gutted the biggest appeal of the talent trees in the first place for me in cata. The hybrid specilizations. That was the best appeal of the old talents.
Even in dragonflight, it’s still just frost dks are frost dks with frost dk stuffs and frost runes. Frost mages are frost mages who only do frosty things.
In wrath, It’s alot better. Dks got 2 of each rune type, regardless of what spec they were in. As well as most of the abilities in the other trees to. There were usually only one or 2 abilities tied to a spec at the bottom of the tree that you couldn’t use.
I still felt like the cata talents were to nerfed.
Then of course pandaland got a measly 5 talents to spend across 90 levels.
