I was disconnected while on Timeless Isle (where there were no npc’s, no animals, nothing). When I logged back on, the character select screen is black. I am unable to play at all.
same here my screen shows no toons to choose from
Yep, I was loading a character a bit ago and the load bar froze at about 90%, but music still played. I started the process over and got a black character screen. Other servers had the same result, though it was not replicated on WoW TBC Anniversary. Now we just wait.
having the same issue me and my girl cant get past realm or even see are characters
yeah high pop servers are puking. low pop no probs
Same here, froze closed the game reopened and surprise no characters to choose from.

Does Bliz know about this? My realm is listed as green status
I also was just leveling my alt. Started with lagging pretty bad, to really bad, then DC. Tried getting back into the game to see that my characters were all gone. So what did I do? I looked at the server status. And it says my realm is up. So I came here for answers. Since blizzard is not going to give us any kind of update I came to the forums.. Thanks community! At least we communicate with each other even if Blizzard won’t tell us anything. Pagle

Several of our guild members are having this exact issue on Pagle.
background graphic is loading now, still no toons

Just got a 1gig update in the launcher maybe it will be fixed! Will report back

I agree — my server is down as well. Since Pagel is down, I started a new toon on an AU server, but I can’t understand what anyone’s saying. Can someone help?
