yes so every single imaginable other comp in existence can stand a chance to win instead of running in, mage and druid instant poly/cyclone and immediately force trinkets 2 seconds into the fight, not being able to kill a warrior with every single cooldown popped including defensives, and dying when your healer is in a 4 second blanket silence. total match length: 30 seconds (7 seconds was spent running to the center of the arena)
edit: what blizzard really needed to do, was pretend they actually are game developers, and quit believing game balance is rocket science. what couldâve been much simplier is simming pvp gameplay of the very last season with its respective gear ilvl, and replicating it for this season weâre currently in. since our classes are balanced for the last season, and as someone whoâs extensive played that season back in the day, it was one of the most balanced in history and it was one of, if not, thee most popular season of all time. just have to get it back to that gameplay
okay so, if your losing as described ur team did zero things correct, and lower resil makes punishing the mage alot easier and opens swaps on war/rdruid. If your argument was lower it even more than id be with you, but hell naw it should not be higher, and i believe the majority of people are with me on this. versions of L.S.D and God comp benefit WAY more from higher resil and are already going to be very strong comps arguably better then WMD btw. you would be speed running into a dampen meta if we didnt try to push for lower resil.

clearly didnât play beta and have no understanding of how these classes work in 3v3
5 min games are better than 30 second ones. dampening used to start at 10 mins, prideful season was the most âdampâ season of mop and had 350+ qualified players for r1 title which directly means over 350,000+ people were the rating of 1000 or higher in 3v3. wildly active season. blizz would be insanely lucky to have a fraction of that population being active across ALL pvp environments, not just 3v3.

got glad in prideful as kitty cleave, avg game was 2min, but continue. if the average game is 5min no matter what comps are playing then a damp comp like L.S.D is going to ruin the ladder and extend all of their games to 10min+ everytime. shorter is better.

3 expacs⌠so ur including shadowlands? an expac where i spent the first 3 seasons globalling people? a expansion that on record had the most first time glads ever?? DF and TWW sure, they are dead and i didnt/dont like either of them, but your flat out wrong. DF and TWW are both longer on avg then shadowlands that was short and had higher participation then any expac in the modern wow era. I.E the shortest TTK expac of the last 6 expansions had the highest pvp participation go figure.
And you dont play pvp if youre soo out of touch like the devs, bgs are unplayable unless you have a stacked premade.
Tolbarad and wintergrasp are a lagfest where you cant play the game

Season 2 had higher participation then season 1, so ur argument isnt valid. Season 3 also had high partcipation equal to S1, S4 was a hard drop off and funny enough its when TTK was increased significantly across the board.
Does this also mean 85-89 BGs will go from 55% (current) to 53%? Because 55% feels way too high when thereâs almost no pvp power.

it was just under 3 months long.
the mop i played was fast outside of a select few comps designed to slow the game down. Higher resil only helps caster comps that already have an edge due to CC. Personally play melee comps and hate dampeners, its not more skillful for you to afk 40 yrds apart and pve then spam CC to peel and reset on DR. Mop was all about trades, and trades cant happen if your not able to die regardless of having something or not.
The problem I see right now is targeting.
That is to say blitz devs donât understand what they should be targeting.
For example, the arena changes here arenât bad in a vacuum. The problem arises when you consider just how terrible the average pvp experience is overall right now. A minor change to arena damage calcs isnât going to cause hundreds or even thousands of players to quit the game⌠Theyâll literally just play whatever bracket they think they can get the best ratings in either way.
The straight dogwater gameplay horde are facing right now just trying to gear up, however, is absolutely causing people to quit. The vast majority of your playerbase that engage in any form of pvp are in bgs or going to be at low ratings in rated pvpâŚand these changes basically do nothing for them. The silence on larger issues is telling the starving masses to âjust eat cake when they donât even have breadâ levels of out of touch, and being followed up with two separate changes that only impact top end rated pvp is kind of like then making cakes specifically for the aristocracy, while the rioting commoners are starving
Iâd also add, human racial is a bigger statistical problem than any of the arena adjustments you made here⌠Quit virtue signaling/pretending to be working on pvp and actually work on pvp.
Just things like fixing the rampant queuing issues would go a long way towards smoothing out the average experience.
The complication comes that blizzard knows this, its not like they have no idea, its that the big suits donât allow those changes because they only want our money, Its purely a managerial problem and I understand why Kaviax wonât go to bat for us at the cost of himself leaving the company. It doesnât mean its nay less frustrating that for whatever reason, whoeever is the main person in charge hasnât a clue how to run a game, but why should they? blizzard has lost almost all its tenured staff over burnout.
