The nerf to Survival Instincts and Improved Frenzied Regeneration are way over the top.
(They function the same but they added in “Usable in all forms except Moonkin Form.”
If I’m in Moonkin Form and use any of those 2, they kick me out of Moonkin Form. If I enter back into Moonkin, both of them will immediately drop.
So I’m forced to run away and do NOTHING for 10 seconds or become incredibly weak while they are active? For those that still don’t know, Moonkin Form gives +120sp, 50% reduced cost to Moonfire/Sunfire, makes it so all of our dots can crit and cost 50% less mana on our dots. On top of that, we’d lose 360% armor and 3% crit for the duration of a Frenzied Regen.
Survival Instincts is either completely useless now or I now have to pair it with Frenzied Regen whereas before I could use only one of them.
It just doesn’t make sense for a rune that can be used for any Druid spec to specifically omit Moonkin Form.
This is way over the top for a nerf that I didn’t even know happened until last night.
Laughs in ret paladin welcome to being bottem of the barrel for pvp
Wait.
Boomkins get hit???
I’m usually >20% HP by the time I get into melee range; only for them to root me, and jump around dropping the heavens on me…or getting orbital striked by Starfire.
PS: Shift into cat → dash → Frenzied → run around until healed → run back → shift into chicken; same as it always was even back in Classic 2019 (Classic Vanilla).
I feel like a lot of you that complain about these nerfs just suck at PVP. And this is coming from a ret that sucks at PVP, and was never able to 1v1 anyone…let alone 2v1 (as some have posted about).

I don’t suck at pvp. You on the other hand based on your own words…
Warriors have to choose between Retaliation and Shield Wall. What they could have done is made you choose between the two. But having both up at the same time, made them unkillable.
I suck, but I’m also observant.
In BGs, I rarely see Boomkins get hit by melee (where your armor actually matters). They just SS into kitty and dash away or Bear and stun into SS:humanoid to heal.
If you’re talking about WorldPVP, then any buff or nerf will always be entirely ‘a moot point’. Because WorldPVP was never going to be balanced; you never know when you’re going to get jumped, and by how many.

No one who does competitive SoD PvP goes straight ret. You will never win that way.
Man, maybe the classic purists are right. A druid complaining about having to combat shift into different forms to use their full toolkit?
Maybe SoD has gone too far xD

Shaman died to boomie, cry for nerfs
Welp WHINER BABIES cried and you got nerfed. Because the BUM devs listen to the BUM cry babies.
This is the average BUM take vs boomkins. Idk how you can’t close the distance before being at 20% if you are geared/specd correctly. I feel like most of the people that cry on these forums have never had their mount keybound and just never consider it as a tool to close the distance… Unless you get RNG stunned by a boomkin into a starfire crit it is pretty easy to get on top of them without taking too much dam.
I feel the same way about all the people crying for NERFs. Because they are too bad at the game to figure out how to win. The only class that is truly busted atm are shamans because of some boaring tank rune that lets them be the tankiest class in the game. Then they get an extra 30% hp ontop of that in BGs and events.
funny thing was, before the nerfs, moonkin were everything they said ele shaman was (exaggerations and all) but with 10 yards extra range , more instant casts, better defensives, better dots, and a massive aoe spell pushback that would make a 2 second cast a 10 second one, ect.
ive fought moonkin both before and after the nerfs and they do quite well even now.
they just arent as completely oppressive as they were.
ok alt troll, you die to crabs in durotar. go level up before you type here
no way boomies had better defensives
, cc = stop starshards, easier to kill
they were still deadly, not its like meh , only shaman are op
Wouldn’t suggest this ever unless you have a far lead on someone as a lot of classes have more gap closers than ever. They’re already running Survival of the Fittest, Survival Instincts, and Improved Regeneration. Bear itself gets 20% extra damage reduction, they’re better off just eating it and just as the Regen falls off Bash, Nature’s Grasp (if possible), get distance.
It’s what I did when I was Moonkin, it hasn’t changed much as Feral. They’re just going to have to learn Bear has uses.

My biggest gripe and the one I’m going to yell over and over again is that I don’t care they got nerfed. I’m upset that we have STILL not had a comprehensive changes. I don’t know why they would chose to remain silent about the nerfs. It’s beyond mind boggling.
Have you considered going into Bear Form for the duration of using your defensives?
I know Boomkins have only needed 2 brain cells for PvP so far, but if we can muster together a third one we can get through this

yes, it should have been -50% damage reduction on starfire and sunfire dot instead.
We’ll see if they realize sitting in Bear absorbs more damage and has a skill called Bash in time. Hell I time my Bash to swap back into Cat for a cheeky Bleed/Shred before going back to Bear when the stun runs off.
just sit bear you take no damage just like shams
