since pre-patch launched when pressing the Moonkin form it is not activating, no chicken form, just stays in humanoid form 8/10 times. the moonkin buff usually activates without the form but not always. this happens without addons and a fresh clean install of the game.
this was a bug in Beta.

Having the same problem, everything fresh. Itâs a character specific issue too it looks like so it doesnât affect everyone but it is a bug.

Please let me know if you find a solve to this, currently having the same exact issue, i play a tauren druid and my boomkin form displays the form buff, but bars do not changeâŠsometimes i enter boomkin without the bars changing, sometimes i enter the form without it displaying the form but the bars do changeâŠit works less in combatâŠa total mess.

happy its not just me, but sad it is even a bug. what has happened to the Boomkin to cause this. only happens to my max level night elf druid. my lvl 10 zandalari druid enters its mookin form everytime.

Still bugged, clean install, no addons or cache folders. Itâs the game and it still not letting us get into moonkin form or sometimes even the buff. Makes PVE kinda miserable.

Moonkin form still not working, anyone have a solution or is it a permanent âbugâ?

My âfixâ is just rotating forms (excluding travel) until Boom actually shows. Going from travel form to Boom seems to cause the bug almost 100% of the time

doesnt matter what from you go from to moonkin it doesnt work 95% of the time. only since Pre-patch and only all current druid toons. a trial moonkin doesnt have the bug.
Same issue here. Overwhelming majority of the time I donât get the Moonkin appearance. I always get the buff, and the other forms all work every time.
I tried adding and removing the Glyph of Stars just to see. End result with it on was my ânormalâ appearance for the starry effect and still no moonkin. Removed the glyph and back to no visual change.
In regards to addons, I moved my Interface/WTF folders out and deleted the cache folder, and could replicate the same behavior.
Itâs not viable to switch to multiple forms just to get into moonkin form during a raid situation. Please fix this, the the worst bug ever.

I am still having the issue. Iâm a Tauren Druid level 60. I have tried specing in and out of moonkin form and no luck. Happens in all of my specs. Not just balance. Not sure what to do but, I miss my chicken.

so far i have tried Uninstalling the game twice, and re installing it.
i have deleted the games, beta, classic and WoTLK and Battlenet and did a complete fresh install of all, one by one. started the games with no addons and still have the moonkin form bug in all specs. will actually get moonkin form randomly during fights but never lasts through any cast or spell that take you out of that form like Incarn, casting regrowth, Dash etc⊠this only happens on my Main druid Night Elf lvl 60. my lvl 10 Zandalari druid does not have this issue at all.
if i copy my main toon to Beta it has the bug the same,
if i create a fresh druid or a fresh lvl 70 druid on beta, or a trial lvl 60 on retail there are no Moonkin form issues.
i have had the moonkin form issue from the instant i logged in after the pre patch went live.

I am also encountering this bug on my boomkin main. Sometimes the boomkin model shows, often times it does not. I have not yet been able to figure out the exact pattern to replicate in order to maintain the boomkin model permanently; it always switches back to âno formâ appearance / character model.
its getting anoying. hope its fixed soon.
Just adding that mine is broke too. Buff is there, boomkin is not

Bugs that I think are related:
All related to a druid that I started awhile ago
-Boomkin form doesnât work most of the time
-Changing druid form appearances in the barber shop isnât always reflected until logging out and back in
-Druidâs appearance didnât update on the character select screen between game launches

Im having the exact same problem. I used vanishing powder to remove my glyph of stars effect and since then i havent been able to get my moonkin form looking like a moonkin. Shifting through a bunch of other forms seems to increase the chances of being able to turn into it though.

Still a problem, itâs a core mechanic of the game and Iâm pretty sure even if you get the buff itâs not active because thereâs no armor so you get hit hard most of the time.
