He can’t reply… because he was banned. I can vouch for him, this is a person I talk to any play with nearly everyday and have since March. Someone who if accidently mounts up on a random person feels terrible about it, and will usually apologize. We all know that the support system is run by an Ai system which while efficient is causing innocent people targeted by those who spitefully mass report to be banned. Bring back the live chat, real people who look into tickets. The amount of people who threaten report/mass reporting on this server is absurd.
While I appreciate that you want to support someone else, Moolyssa, you have zero insight into another player’s account.
If I can get a character name/realm I could take a look. I’d be limited in what I could say, but at least we could get that out of the way.
That is part of the problem here. What you know and what are actual facts seem to be entirely different things. Support is not run by an AI system.
Regardless, Blizzard isn’t going to share details about an account with anyone who isn’t the registered account holder. No matter what you say. They’ll only talk to your friend because it’s your friend’s account - and many details of account actions count as details about your friend’s account.
I can give you the name and realm, but I don’t feel comfortable posting the bnet here. Feredald-Moonguard banned for gameplay sabotage… We all have tickets put in on the matter, we are being mass reported as a guild. Everyone who is in the guild is being reported, this is my theory of course. This person changes toons a lot so I assume because of that, the reporter isn’t aware of all their toons and are only reporting those they see in the guild and therefor his account is receiving more reports than others and several different toons. That is why I’m thinking the ban bot flagged and banned.
BNET reports are unique, even if they report on different toons from the same BNET will count as one report.
The reporter is a repeat offender on the realm and has been banned before for this same behavior. I’m confused as to how this person hasn’t been dealt with.
I’m aware.. I don’t think you’re understanding what I’m saying.. 1 Bnet, different characters. Different toons being reported there for there is a higher amount of reports to the account because the reporter isn’t aware it’s the same player, which is why they have been banned and not the rest of us who stick to the same one or two toons.
I didn’t, nor would I ever ask for the Battle.net on the forums, that is why I said character name/realm. ![]()
As I suspected, “Gameplay Sabotage” is usually the category used when someone has an inappropriate TRP profile. Your friend will want to adjust what their profile says to remove references to more… adult activities.
He didn’t have anything inappropriate in his trp
I made the TRP… There’s nothing on there. If that’s the case, take a look at the reporters TRP
What I’d like to address here, and why I’m asking for a full investigation into the weaponization of the report system, is due to the growing frustrations in moderation within Moonguard’s Goldshire.
It’s slowly become a system of self-moderation through keeping track of bad folks through discords, rather than ingame, to maintain a sense of order.
Scammers, stalkers, abusive individuals and more, will go days without action, while more relaxed individuals seemingly catch bans for otherwise innocuous behavior.

All those are report worthy. It is not a good idea to post them on the forums.
I’m sorry, Raystella, but it seems we disagreed. Let me be perfectly clear here, this action is entirely based on the logs being reviewed by our Support staff and verifying that they felt the content that they reviewed violated policy.
This isn’t something that is left up to others to arbitrate, if this person wishes to appeal the only means to do so is through the Support Site, under Account Restrictions.
We disagreed, sorry. Either something you put in there that you may not have realized may have been inappropriate was determined to be so, or they added something after the fact.
Why? It has nothing to do with who is reporting bad/inappropriate addon text (RP profile), it has to do with the content of the profile, which is found through a log search. Not something that any other player has access or influence on.
It should also be noted that the review for this was prompted by a single report.
Now, since this “mass reporting” accusation for this particular situation is entirely debunked, I’d say that you should allow your friend to wait for their appeal.
Any offensive language, may be reported and is against the code of conduct of the game.
Report them.
Same, report them.
What others do has no bearing on your own status. “They are speeding!!!” is not a valid excuse to speed.
I’m editing that out once, Jahia. The language used, even masked is not appropriate. Posting that could have resulted in an immediate suspension from the forums. I am making a one time exception to simply edit it out this time.
And just to cover this, none of what you described is okay and I am very sorry that you were subjected to it. There doesn’t really need to be special policies around it, folks need to get into the habit of reporting the behavior when it occurs. When that happens it is far more likely to get it addressed.
Simply put, Jahia, that isn’t something we can do here. We have reporting tools in place, and those are what Customer Support responds to. If you feel additional action or improvements are needed, I’d recommend submitting a suggestion so our Game Developers can review it. Support staff don’t set policy or procedure, those decisions are made by the Development team.
I think we have covered all we can here so I’m going to close this up. Thanks, all.
