I could barely get through the first post of the thread. Seeing how many replies this thread has tells me it’s gotta be a good read, but man, I don’t have the energy to keep reading whatever the OP might have said along the way.
Here is the real kicker… an actual reality of why blizzard should lower their sub costs due to current economy constraints and lack of population to play with. Microsoft shuts down 6 studios, made 14.5b in profit alone last year, yet the studios that are now under the umbrella of Microsoft are being closed. This might be to shuffle assets and make moves to make way for funds in other projects, but I believe it’s high time blizzard gives one back to its community.
Imagine for 20 years, blizzard in a flourishing economy, charges 14 dollars a month for subscription fees, simply to access a servers digital assets. Mind you there is nothing physical about this, only the recognition that you’re getting to temporarily see the character on screen, and you’re now allowed to buy cosmetics, buy anything in store or gambling on loot boxes. At the end of the day, you are in fact gambling on the premise that blizzard won’t be shuttering their doors, not the fact that you’re paying money on the objects that are created on a computer.
If the game 20 years ago was charging 14 dollars, than inflation should in fact be the opposite effect for blizzard. The monetary cost for subs should go down, and allow for humanity to continue to flourish monetarily. Instead, we get the store shoved down our throats and we’ve now lost classic to internal stores to buy cosmetics.
Remove sub costs for classic/era and charge for retail play, remove the store from classic. Drop the sub costs to below 10 dollars a month and remove the wow token to bring back lost player bases over the years and attract the younger crowds, this is an easy feat and it’s a valid concern. These posts were removed from Reddit and forums every single time I attempted to post this. So I’m piggybacking this thread to show the same sentiment the OP says here. Sub fees, the store, everything needs to be reevaluated. If you’re seeing a lack of morals and ethics via blizzard, that’s because you’re seeing it.
Return the former glory………….
If you’re good at the game, people usually don’t kick you. Probably a low skill player qing for high skill content.
Is this really necessary? I’m often shocked at the lack of empathy people display in these forums.
Again, why is this necessary ? Why take the time to jab like this? Just scroll past.
Yes its necessary
This is probably one of the lamest troll bait threads ive seen
No, it really isn’t.
Blizzard refuses to see their players and many of them asking for lowered sub prices and showing blizzards approach to removing posts they believe to be controversial. Like I said above, Microsoft shutting studios down and made billions upon billions. Theyre worth over 3 trillion dollars, yet they’re deleting studios. Start English comprehension instead of troll 101.
I bet you could somehow fail an M0.
I cant believe i chose to “View ignored content” to read this…
Is this a joke? You want players to be unable to kick problematic users in dungeons?
The tank and healer both AFK for 30 minutes? Whelp, nothing they can do.
A hunter decides he doesn’t like this group, and pulls as many mobs as possible to wipe them again and again? He is entitled to be here, according to you.
No. Just no.
This is pure comedy…
lol, couldn’t make it past the first “entitled.” Great comedic value here.
I think a lot of people here are misunderstanding the point guy is trying to make. He is talking about the elitist players who say unless “you’re this spec, this class, I can’t take you into a mythic raid or a mythic key higher than five”. Don’t get me wrong I love having classes. I like it being unique, but also let’s be honest. Not all classes are equal and just like the replies to this post, most players are elitist and put up a gate. Which in turns locks people out from getting higher level gear.
Regardless of the reason he’s not invited. It’s still the right of those people not to invite him… or you… or me.
It was super easy to gear this expansion. The only thing holding him back from gearing is him.
We are in inflation why would they lower prices? Also yes. Thats how microsoft keeps making bills. They close studios that dont produce like they should by there metrics. Its a companies right. Its infact their legal obligation to do everything to maximize profit
Who cares? They are free to make their own scrub lower content groups. The leader can set whatever arbitary requirements they want.
No.
You got exactly what you paid for; that is… access to a character on the game server.
Doesn’t fit the “main character” narrative OP has.
