Blizzard charges its player base a monthly fee to have access to the entire game. By entire game I mean a person who pays the monthly fee should have access to every possible feature the game has to offer. Sadly however this is not the case. When a player is basically locked out of higher tier game content based on the the decisions of other players or removed from a group based on the decisions of others that player is basically being denied the access they are entitled to and are paying for. Let me be clear that I am in no way saying players who can master the most difficult content dont deserve their rewards and bragging rights. What I am saying is they dont deserve the right to judge what others can have access to. Now im sure a response will be make your own groups or join a guild. That is and option for sure but not optimal due to the logistics and again the pure discriminatory nature of the process. Blizzard needs to open the entire game meaning raid and mythics to everyone and let the game decide who has what it takes not other players. If players want to do raids or mythics on normal or higher difficulties and fail they are, under the monthly subscription entitled to that right Otherwise stop making those locked out of the higher content to pay the same monthly fee. So is Blizzard breaking thier own terms of service by allowing players to deny other players access to what they are paying for? I will close with that thought.
You do know the enter key exists right?
Literally nothing prevents any subscriber from raiding.
If folks want to do it they will join a guild that does it.
Or pug normals.
Show me the paywalls for Mythic raids, Mythic keystone level ten and higher dungeons, and rated battlegrounds and arenas.
You are not entitled to other people’s time nor energy.
High tier reward only lets you do higher tier content. If you’re not doing it, by your own decision, you also don’t need it.
I’ll bite: yes. Now what?
did op get picked last in any school activates?
OP can’t tell the difference between a locked door and a stair case.
I dont feel locked out at all from anything.
If I wanted to do mythics and raiding I would.O have no desire to.
I dont feel thr company is locking people out and never have.
It really comes down to what other players are looking for.
I know its a tired statement but can for own groups and lay out what looking for and what will put up with.
Paragraphs my friend, they exist for a reason, I can’t even read this without my eyes going cross eyed.
TLDR: you deserve to be carried by higher skilled players because you’re paying a sub?
is that the gist of it?
If you’re not pulling your weight other players have every right to kick you and find someone that can. Why are you entitled to hold the rest of your group back and dictate the maximum level of content they can do? are they not also entitled to harder content you’'d be preventing them form participating in?
Everyone who has an active sub and the most recent expansion purchased has the same access. There’s not a separate tier of subscriber. You can have an active subscription but have not purchased the most recent expansion. So makes sense there why someone wouldn’t be able to level to 70 if they didn’t purchase DF/TWW.
That crit was a big one.
Took a second but I found it:
No.
You pay for access to the game SERVERS. You do not have a right to access every bit of content that exists without actually completing the prerequisites in-game. That may mean demonstrating skill, time commitment, teamwork, etc. There are many many things that players will not do, or see, because they lack the skill or time to complete it. That is NOT a violation of the game terms.
That said, there are now lower levels of access to most content such as Follower Dungeons, and Looking for Raid level raids that are accessible to most people.
You pay for the right to try to do the content, not for the right to “win”. That level of competition/skill is not handed to you.
Nope not even a itty bitty smidgin. Everyone has the right to choose who they want to play with. Those other individuals your essentially demanding play with you because your a paying customer. Their paying customers too. Whose right take precedent?
There’s a phrase “rights stop where others begin”. It means that your individual rights should not infringe on the rights of others.
Your rights aren’t being infringed upon by being excluded but forcing those players to take you is infringing on their rights.
Are you and attorney? My guess no! By the very nature of not having access to hire tiers unless I meet some percieved status is discriminatory. Money is paid for access to the entire game not a portion thats decided by players is not.
How I see it is there should be no monthly fee. We should only have to buy the expansion like any other game with optional payments if we wish for like race change / server change services like we do now.
I think the whole idea of a monthly fee for a game you’ve already bought is rediculous in it of itself as every game coming out right now works just fine without them. Blizzard is just greedy.
And no I’m not going to play a different game for having this opinion. I’m a consumer, I’m supposed to say what I think and I’ve unsubscribed many times from the game because I can’t really justify that monthly payment.
Ok. Yeah, I fell for the bait the first time, nah.
EULA straight up says your licensing access to the platform not purchasing any rights.
Your use of the Platform is licensed, not sold, to you, and you hereby acknowledge that no title or ownership with respect to the Platform or the Games is being transferred or assigned and this Agreement …should not be construed as a sale of any rights.
Wow really thanks. Amazing hiw many can read but not comprehend.
